If they wanted Jan to be conveniently pregnant, they could've had Belle and Shawn try for another baby via in vitro and then have Jan steal the sperm and lie and say that she and Shawn had an affair. All the masks and the devil changing into other people is just a quick and easy way to stir up conflict without having it be generated naturally through character development. This show can bring on Jasmine Guy and Jackée trading barbs and slaps, have Dan Feuerriegel and Paul Telfer butt-booty naked mud wrestling, and have bisexual interracial love triangles out the wazoo, and this show would still be an unsatisfying viewing experience with all this mask bs.
