Inspired by the Alexis and her copies thread

Sort of a spinoff of the original topic, but how many of the JR copies had their own Sue Ellen copies? Julia Newman is the first Sue Ellen copy that comes to mind.

Funny enough Daniel Pilon who played Alan Spaulding # 2 was on a few episodes of Dallas 

I always thought his Alan was the most like JR ewing 

I gave a Look on EastEnders from England, They had a Character in the 1980's Called Den "Dirty Den" Watts, he was dishonest and a Serial Cheater on Wife Angie, who drank, sounds like JR and Sue Ellen doesn't it?

Three CBS soaps introduced new villains cut from the JR mold, and all four had parental issues plus their mothers were played by Golden Age Hollywood actresses.

Chris Bernau's Alan Spaulding was touted as daytime's JR back in the day. They were similar  in being the tropes of a villain protagonist or anti-hero. This was different than the Ron Raines and Daniel Pilon Alan portrayals as a straight up villain.

Also I read more than seemed about his Alan but another similar trade between Them is Bernau's Alan Was very Image Obsessed, Like J.R. He would do harm but would still care for what others might think

True. Joseph. His Alan would never had fallen for town pariah Annie, get involved with trying to murder Jonathan and Harley, etc.

I don't put GL Roger and Alan in the JR and copies list because GL introduced them both before the first episode of Dallas was broadcast.

One CBS daytime villain that hasn't been mentioned in this thread is As the World Turns James Stenbeck. I'm not familiar with the Dobson years of As the World Turns so I don't know if he was that show's attempt to have a JR type villain.
