It does feel a bit hollow with the families. Too many people who should still be around were killed off. LOL. (Not to mention Tracy is only visiting and Felicia is MIA)

I'm all for 'slow moving' but I feel like the Laura/Cyrus/Martin stuff needs to start moving more. I'm losing interest and Cyrus just sucks as a villain we're supposed to take seriously. I like Jeff Kober but it's reminding me of early Valentin where he whined and cried and threatened and was supposed to be so scary and dangerous and you just laugh.

I'm tired of hearing about Florence. Just give the damn woman back. lol

Yes, I found it as generic as last week's promo (titled Consequences) and had to debate posting, but I did like seeing Laura, Kevin, Brook Lynn so I went for it.

But I agree. The Laura/Cyrus/Martin story has stalled. And needs a push. I would think he would be trying to take over with Sonny 'dead' and Jason in jail. So let's see that.

Yeah I’m over Laura and her brothers. It’s sad because I was intrigued by the show digging into her history and giving her a meaty story that could be worthy of her star power.

And GH just hasn’t been able to thread the needle in terms of giving their bad guys vulnerability recently. We could empathize with someone like Faith and still find her unsettling. I blame the writers.

My problem with the whole Florence thing is that Carly has not bossed up.  She took the woman, which I thought was great, but she's been whining about it ever since.  Jason is locked up so she needs help.  This is ridiculous.  Carly can do better than this.  However, if this gets her in bed with Val

I think its more of Cyrus and his siblings because this was never about Laura.

True. Cyrus and Peter are way too embedded in every story on GH, and neither character works, so it’s like a wet blanket over even the more promising plots.

It would have been great if this had been the story from the very beginning. Not only were they digging into Laura's pre-Luke history, they were digging into Laura's pre-Genie Francis history, which definitely needed to be explored. But this clearly wasn't the original plan for Cyrus. And now it's like they don't know what to do with him. Some episodes, he is the evil schemer, in other episodes he's the whiny Mama's boy.

I'm over it too. I share your sadness because there was a lot of potential. I do think it helped pivot Laura a bit but overall it feels like a meh.

I also wanted them to do the Gregory/Finn/Chase DNA reveal but now even that I'm feeling meh on.

I blame the writers too. They don't seem to understand how to write compelling villains who can do evil things but we also sympathize. They're trying too hard to show us "see, he has layers and is sympathetic because he loves his mother" ... "he's misunderstood so you need to care" ...

There are just too many characters I don't and won't care about.  Foolish Frank's tenure has been a middle finger to all the fans...

Hey! I brought back A.J. and Duke...

Then proceeded to kill them both off--- wasting the resurrections.

He continues to hire his buddies in countless meaningless characters.

Every time his writers (since Re-Ron, Pissy and Alter-ation) put out the nugget of good story, he steps in and f*cks it right up.

His lead heroic character was a serial killer that had not only kidnapped his leading lady's child when he was born. He also convinced Sam he raped her and set in motion Michael's rape by Carter in prison.   Yep  Frank made the story of Elizabeth's rapist returning all about Franko when it should have been her story.

His regime has kept promoting Wallow as a leading lady

for two years........  This alone should seal his coffin.

His villains are all "Snidely Whiplash crossed with Barney the dinosaur....."

Directing has gone out the window.  After years of the constant RoHo smirking, no one is telling the actors how NOT TO CONTORT THEIR FACES.  C'MON  directors, do your g-d jobs.

GH was my ride or die for years, and I dropped watching for six months.  I just want to actually care again.....

    • Upon reflection, I think you're right, their chilliness toward each other was more recent. She said women on the show in 1984 were not supportive and she still stays away from them. She seems friendly with Susan Hayes so Deidre is the only woman still around from those days, though I guess Kristian Alfonso and Leann Hunley could also qualify. And it might be someone long gone but who is still present in Suzanne's social circles.
    • I don't know.  The animosity seems to be more recent than the mid 80s.  When Maggie was a victim of the Salem Stalker i remember reading an interview with Suzanne where she said they aired the episode(s) surrounding Maggie death in a theatre and made a big deal about it.  Suzanne was very upset about being fired and Dee comforted her and said that they were making such a big deal about it because it was Suzanne/Maggie.  I cannot find the article but I will keep trying. That said Suzanne's comments on Soapy about how some of the female cast members treated her during her illness was disappointing to hear to say the least.
    • Anyway... Kristen should have a prison lesbian story arc. And then come out and become obsessed with Marlena so we can move her on from the Brady nonsense. Is that secret room still in the DiMera mansion?
    • Oh, wow... where can I find this interview?
    • I'm really liking Izaiah and Eva so far. And why can't I help but feel that something might happen to make Jessica stay in Fairmont Crest permanently?
    • So Pam didn't create her? I thought she had the whole of 87-88. I'll look around, thanks for the point in the right direction.

date: Tuesday, November 18, 2025 | Jamey Giddens, Danielle Paige | Steven Williford Samantha, accept the fact you were in the wrong and do not deserve your digital devices. Do not like it? Go upstairs. Read a book. Do some knitting. Bradley and Martin's "we get it" to Tyrell was hilarious and absolutely a parent's thing to do. Loving a bit of history of both the Duprees (via Eva) and the Hawthrones (via Izaiah). So cute. Poor June. I am sure she did not purposefully mean to mess up; we have all been there working in customer service. Shake it off and keep on keeping on! Not twice a week for Vernon's cobbler order... Sharon must be using that as payment for their meetings. I appreciate that Ted still cares about the Duprees despite the end of his marriage to Nicole. Not Dana using Peaches' crisis as a way of taking Ted's attention away from a co-worker. Girl, do not be so obvious. Bradley is a man after my own heart with a simply divine chocolate milkshake. That is the way to go. Dana really needs to dial it back. Money will not buy her everything she wants and she will realise it soon enough. And I doubt Shanice is scared off by her idle threats, either. "With all due respect, Ms Thomas, this isn't a shopping mall." Oh, Dr Wilkes just owned Dana's arrogant ass. I love it. Wigs and personas? Okay now, Shanice ate with that read. I like that June assured Bradley that she will not replace him or Martin in the twins' lives. And that blood does not make a parent. Words never rang more true. Jessica reading Samantha was amazing. Dana would want to involve Ted. Her obsession is crossing beyond dangerous boundaries. Not Dana catching Vernon leaving Sharon's room at the country club. That is not good. Not good at all! Notes: Ugh. Not another breakdown from writer2. This week was going so well. Thankfully, Paige is an outstanding scriptwriter (one of this soap's best), and her words today are excellent. The food at Orphey Gene's does look bomb, so I do not blame any of the characters for uptalking it. I would eat there daily if I could. And gain hundreds of pounds, too. David Lami Friebe (Izaiah) continues to make me sick watching him, but he is nice to listen to. I still really like having June as the central person hub at Orphey Gene's. That familiar face you see when you walk in and have scenes. Dana wanting a second opinion means we could have an incoming doctor, right...?
