Haha or Thudley putting his hand in the cookie jar for his own choices.

Keep us up to date! It figures with our school slowly reopening up Y&R would start airing new episodes the same day I go back into work, been the longest Spring Break ever.....

I will! Pretty sure if it is the 10th cbs will put out a press release tommorow lr have MTS reveal it on the talk. Cbs did the same with bold. Announced a week before. And Stay safe! Must be nice to finally go back.

Honestly...I wanna just slap the crap out of Thudley! I can picture him all smiley and giddy choosing all those Liam/Steffy/Hope episodes! it makes me sick! How sad to imagine we'd get so much more variety if they let the CBS/SONY interms or whoever that choose the Y&R classics do the same for B&B

At least from what I felt from Y&R’s classics was at least the actors themselves had a hand in picking episodes. That Victor & Nikki week definitely  had some unusual choices with but I sincerely got the feeling EB & MTS had personally handpicked the eps themselves.

Thudley can go kick rocks tbh.

Thank you! A virtual classroom for the first two weeks and then possibly 1-2 days a week of some form of face to to face interaction with students after Labor Day but it is all subject to chance asterisks and all.

I wasn't aware the actors had much of a hand, but I applaud MTS and EB if they picked more of the "out of the ordinary" episodes for their week! (although I'm shocked not one of them could have recommended the full 1981 Victor sees Nikki stripping at the Bayou for the first time episode)

I want to throw a bunch of rocks at Thudley...LOL

When I look up what Global is showing, this is what I do:
I just go to Global's website.  I'm in the US and can't watch their videos; but I can read their page.

I go here:
https://www.globaltv.com/shows/the-young-and-the-restless/
I don't click on "schedule".

Instead, I scroll down almost to the bottom of the page, and I see this:

That's how it usually looks on a Sunday night, and then each night at 9:45pm Pacific or 12:45am Eastern, it updates and adds another date.  And then at some point during the week the dates-without-episode-numbers.... update .... and show episode numbers.  That's what I've been doing since the pandemic classics began airing.

I don't see any notation saying "new" but ...
I honestly don't know what the schedule looked like months ago when it was only new episodes.

    • So Sonni would have somebody to talk to who she wasn't conspiring with (Will or Alan)? Alex kept telling Sonni how important her friends were...when she had virtually no friends. Instead they created loyal servants like Jane and Vera to give Alex people to play off of. They did that with Iris on AW, but Vivien was mostly there for comic relief Alex keeping Marah's paternity a secret was absurd. But I still love the scene between Alex and Alan where he convinces her by reminding her how they protected each other from their abusive father. Chris and Bev ATE that scene. Unfortunately, that took place only a few months before he exited the show...always thought they could have built on that, explored more how being Brandon's children screwed them both up. Maybe even used it as an explanation for the way their relationship could constantly swing from hatred to love. Instead of it being merely dictated by the plot.
    • The first one is Cass Winthrop dressed as Krystle Lake on Another World (not from his original creation of the character to hide from the loan shark Tony the Tuna, but at a romance convention trying to find out what had happened to Felicia who was missing). The second one is also Another World, Jake McKinnon as Doris although I don't recall what his purpose was.
    • I know there was one brief scene in the summer of 1989 where Lillian did mention Calla.. but in relation to her past relationship to Ross and it was to Roger while he was a patient at Cedars.  I think he was trying to pump her for information on Ross.. and for some reason, Calla's name came up.   I could see perhaps Beth mentioning that her mother Lillian was visiting Calla.. but not exactly giving any sort of details as to the going ons in Calla's life off screen.
    • Mac Scorpio and Kevin Collins, GH

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.
