It is already the dominant variant in London and, according to my family in NY, they are worried about this happening in NYC soon. Omicron literally came upon us with a quickness (my brother tested positive for Covid, as did some other people I know -- all people who are ultra-careful with masking and mingling). I am shocked at how rapidly it has hit. At this point does that mean Johnson and Johnson one-shot? Other vaccines two shots? That's what "fully vaccinated" has meant for the past year. Now I think articles should specify "fully vaccinated but not boosted" or "fully vaccinated AND boosted" Because otherwise, the reader doesn't have the proper context when reading about whatever symptoms are occurring in new breakthrough infections since omicron began spreading.
