I prepared for side effects both of my Pfizer doses since I had Covid last May/June.

Dose #1 was done on 3.17.2021 (St Patricks Day, plus got my stimulus check)... 99.4 temp the next day, stiff arm, and slept 10 hours that night.. and felt better by the 19th.

Dose #2 was done on 4.7.2021 (Got my tax refund on that day LOL)..  99.4 temp the next day, no arm pain, but slept 8 hours... than within an hour after waking up (after having a cup of coffee) I fell asleep again and slept for another 6 hours.  Good as new by the 48 hour mark.

So I'm almost fully vaccinated... it's surreal.

LOL at the luck you had on both days.

Thank you about the info, my friend. I've started to get a little bit nervous now that it's about time for me to take Shot 2. I'll definitely be keeping my water intake up (and my coffee. ;) )

Congrats on getting almost there. :)

I received my first Pfizer shot on April 9. Unless previous vaccinations, I never even felt the needle enter my arm. Starting that Friday evening and ver the weekend, I had some mild side effects: headache, fatigue, muscle aches. But within a few hours of vaccination I had another side effect: distorted vision, which is apparently a rare side effect. For nearly a week after the poke, I had blurred vision. It was the worst last Monday when I literally had to hold my MacBook about 6 inches from my face so that I could read an email. At that point, I signed off from work, took some medical cannabis, and napped for hours. Thankfully, my vision is back to normal now.

I go back for poke #2 on April 30. I'm hoping for no or mild symptoms. After I scheduled the appointment, I remembered that's my bday weekend.

Ewwwww that it is on your bday weekend. Hopefully Poke 2 will be less like Poke 1. That must have been maddening.

It was very challenging. I teach two college courses in addition to having a full-time job. So I had something like 55 papers to read and grade while my vision was blurred. Somehow I got the work done.

Wow. I can only imagine.  And it shows you rock that you soldiered through.

I am happy to report that my jobs managed to give me a very light schedule in case I have a reaction and should be off for Day 2 of my shot so grateful.

In most parts of Europe, the situation is still tense.

Germany now has a nation-wide ban on going out between 10 pm and 5 am in all cities and regions with a 7-day incidence higher than 100 (which affects 350 of 401 cities and regions).

In my city, the number of covid cases has hit an all-time high today.

The vaccination process took too long to get started. Roughly 20 % of the population has received one shot, and only 7 % of the population has been fully vaccinated yet.

Speaking of Germany, a German friend sent me this:

Yep, 50 actors took part in those videos which were supposed to be satirical ... they had good intentions, but obviously didn't think it through and it sparked a huge controversy today. Many of these videos have already been taken down.

So I went today for Shot 2. Everything went smoothly. And I got into the line for my shot. Heard a hello. I turned to see who the nurse was and immediately thought of all the pictures @Soapsuds posted in this thread. When you put it out in the Universe...HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Lord Jesus thought...I did have to work briefly today and ewwww. Just woke up and feeling hot. So Shot 2 is not a joke for me so far.

So who said hello?

Just rest and take Tylenol.
