I really liked Elaine Welteroth's response to Sharon.  Because she noted that the issue not about supporting or defending a friend, it is about the need for public figures to use social media to call out racism.  If you like Piers Morgan, call him on the phone, but don't use your status to promote his behaviors.

I think Sharon Osbourne and Whoopi Goldberg suffer from the same generational instinct.  If they've met someone, and had a pleasant working relationship, then they feel the need to defend or explain their character.  However, what they miss is the idea that men like Piers Morgan are cowards and would never offend someone to their face.  Thus, as an audience member, I don't care if Sharon or Whoopi like some old fool, I just want to know that they understand the boundaries of social interactions in modern media.

FFS.  At this point, putting on an Indian head test pattern in place of "The Talk" would be an improvement and a blessing.  Just CANCEL this !@#$%^&*] already.

Do a 1 hour Million dollar pyramid. You get to the winner circle the 4th time in the hour, you go for a million bucks. Why are any of you surprised at this turn of events? We're speaking about a woman who used to mail her TURDS to her enemies.

Don't be surprised if Drew Barrymore gets slotted in there.

It should be obvious that this show has not been performing well for quite some time. If it were, Sharon would have been suspended pending investigation, rather than the whole show being put on temporary hiatus. Also, don't be surprised if that temporary becomes permanent.

Honestly, I could care less, I just find these excuses kind of ridiculous.

ETA: the hiatus is two days?  Is that long enough for CBS to plot whether they want to put this broadcast eyesore to bed?

    • I've already asked this before, recently, but can anyone who watched those years more closely tell me if anything said about Jessie and Simon at the end of their profiles is accurate (about them marrying, naming a baby after Brandon/Lujack, etc.)?
    • Nicole is way too smart to not know she was carrying twins - she's a doctor! My guess is that Leslie did abort her baby out of fear, and as payback, stole Ted and Nicole's child (Eva), and stole Kat from another family to replace her in the hospital.
    • Those Soap Central profiles have a lot of incorrect info. According to SOD summaries and the Daytime Newsletter of the time,Tim left town for a new job and Pam reunited with the father of her baby and also departed Springfield. They did not marry.
    • Do we believe that Jabot is at the level of Estee Lauder?? I am on board with Jabot deciding to expand but the way it was handled was ridiculous. Jabot just decided and bingo, that was that. Not months of negotiations and decisions about how it would fit into the Jabot portfolio. And then no follow through. Josh thinks he's serving business stories by characters sitting around and discussing mergers, takeovers and job switching. Now we have Audra setting up her own company -Vibrator or something. Well, why not? You don't need staff, office space or even products.
    • He a dirty dog! Those are his kids and he hurt everyone. At this point he needed to just come clean. I can't believe I was lusting over this man! I hope they aren't quick to forgive.
    • The way I took it is that he did not want to confirm or deny anything until he talked to Nicole first. He was very calculated with the wording he used with Martin and Kat
    • I still see Alfonso Ribeiro as Carlton when Martin gets angry.
    • Not that I want to defend Y&R's writers, but it's not as absurd as you'd think and I believe they plucked it from reality (and then bungled it). The Estee Lauder Companies purchased Tom Ford's brand several years ago and I am willing to bet that's how Jabot came to buy Marchetti.
    • Loved the episode today. looking forward to the fallout. Nubian-Sheila looked fantastic, but I wish the writers would cut back on her overuse of figurative language. I loved the "fix yo mind ministries" line though. The background music during her fantasy confrontation with Nicole was epic.
    • Nothing makes sense on this show. I wish there was a garbage can emoji. That sums up 90% of the show right now.
