I am a classic TV fan. What actors do you think should have done soaps later in their career ?

Lindsay Wagner (Bionic Woman)

Larry Wilcox (Chips)

Sharon Gless (Cagney and Lacey)

Jaclyn Smith (Charlie's Angels)

Cheryl Ladd (Charlie's Angels)

Linda Carter (Wonder Woman)

Melissa Sue Anderson (Little House)

Lauren Tewes (Love Boat)

Kristy McNichol (Family)

Cathy Lee Crosby (That's Incredible)

Doug Barr (Fall Guy and Designing Women)

Lee Horsley (Matt Houston)

Melissa Sue Anderson tried. She was in the DARK MANSIONS primetime pilot with Grant Aleksander, Nicolette Sheridan and others.  And just as blind as Mary Ingalls was too.

Put me down for a Kristy McNichol and Sharon Gless. I wouldn't see them as leading ladies, but as supporting characters - probably a cop or restaurant owner. Something butch and hardened.

I would've loved for Pamela Sue Martin (ex-Fallon, Dynasty) to pop up on *anything* while she was still a bit younger.

My Choices

Farrah Fawcett ( I picture her on Young & Restless or DAYS later in her career)

Ja'net Dubois ( I looked up that she was on LOL but I don't know too much about her character)

Younger Kristy McNichol on a Bill Bell show?  So great.  Or the Curlee era of Guiding Light as she was older.  She was always so good at emotional storytelling, grit and also sophistication beyond her years.

Jaclyn Smith I can also see being successful on  Bill Bell show.

Farrah actually did appear on Days in a brief role, in 1970.  She was in scenes with Bill Hayes.  She talked about it after she became famous.

Well I didn't know about that.

But I think she could've been great in a Gloria type role on Y&R or perhaps Sandy Horton on DAYS

I picture Larry Wilcox from Chips as Steve Williams on Y&R or maybe a recast Greg Foster.

I could see Lynda Carter joining B&B as a rival fashion designer.

I could either see her as a recast Simone Hardy on #GH or head of a rival fashion house on Bold too.

More suggestions

Nancy McKeon - Could've saw her on a P&G or a ABC/Nixon soap

Lisa Whelchel - SAME as Nancy

Telma Hopkins - On a Bell Soap

Rider Strong - I could've saw him on GH in the 90's with Jonathan Jackson, Amber Tamblyn etc... or ATWT

Shannen Doherty - I know she auditioned for a soap. I could've saw her on DAYS, A P&G soap or a Nixon one too.

Yasss! I thought of her too.

Lisa Whelchel might have fit in nicely with Y&R either immediately after "Facts of Life" or sometime during the '90's.
