GH Recasts Teen Role

A new Cameron is on his way

William Lipton is taking over the role of Cameron Spencer on August 10. Soaps.com recently reported that Cade McWatt had been cast as Cameron Spencer on GH in order to age the character closer to Oscar and Joss. McWatt only aired for a handful of episodes in July. Lipton is an actor and singer who has appeared in The Adventures of Thomasina Sawyer and the shorts A Girl Named Khan and Finding Hammy. News of Lipton's casting comes from Soap Opera Digest.

Which is not about yours truly, by the way.

About time!

And since I'm not watching I had NO idea he was even a teen now. LMAO.

Never saw the other actor, this one seems, visually, a good choice.

already getting ready for the Nurse's Ball, I c. I'm sure this kid will be singing @ some point.

anyway, the other kid COULD NOT act (which put him on par w/ Joss & Oscar) so I'm wondering if this kid will be able to?

Awesome, thank you John!

The new one just from looks alone seems the better choice. We'll see in the acting department. That kid looks like an aged Spencer, not Cam.

Liz is the only person on soaps with children that age in real time.

not really, they kept Cameron a kid way longer than he should have been. Joss and others were teens before he was, and hes older than them

Watching today. He has potential. We'll see. But looks wise believable as Liz's kid. And I like that he steals. Liz needs a reminder of herself at his age and the trouble she gave Audrey initially.

after seeing the new kid, it's clear they want Cameron to be the front and center character... poor Liz. LOL The kid had more charisma than Joss and Oscar combined. Welp.

I think Cameron older is than all of the GH characters born in  the 2000s except for  Kristina. I could be be wrong though.

Kristina was born in 2002

Cam was born off screen in 2004

Molly was born in 2005

Spencer was born after Courtney (Who?) had a literal 3-month pregnancy with him in 2006, during Monkey Virus Follies in which Courtney mercifully kicked.

Jake was born in 2007

(Not sure when Aiden was born...anyone?)

Emma was born in 2008

Joss was born in 2009.

So, yeah, Cam is the oldest of the pack (minus Kristina, as said!).

The only reason they recast Cade McWatt is because Cameron seemed more interested in Oscar than Josslyn.

Yeah I got that Vibe and I think they want Cam wanting Joss not Oscar
