That would be amazing. And would make Lily off limits to boot.

Why do we want lily off limits? The guy is limited enough even if she's an option. To eliminate her just cuts his option by a good 40%.

Just not a fan of the actress or the character, but good point.

no thank you! Has "FAIL" written all over him. They had 2 gorgeous prospects w/ potential in Lamon Archey and Redaric Williams, and flubbed that hardcore. This will be more of the same.

And now one of those two is a member of a core family on another soap while the other is achieving success in primetime.

This new actor will be chem tested with Hilary and Lily for six months, then randomly paired with a single young white ingenue in need of airtime (likely Mariah or Abby) for a couple of weeks, then quickly written off.

...but, hey, that's more time devoted to the 55,000 reconciliation story for Victor and Nikki.

Seriously though, I'm happy for both actors--Y&R repeatedly throws away their young prospects.   Max Ehrich did a much better job on his previous In Memoriam segment at the Daytime Emmys than Joely Fischer (bless her heart) did this past Sunday but where is Fen?

The problem is even more acute with AA male characters on this show.

Mason, not Neil should have been the one in a triangle with Hilary and Devon.  That story would've wrote itself.

I won't even get into the situation with Redaric, (which is too sad) except to say that even with his light eyes and light complexion, he was deemed too "dark" of a force to be a legitimate prospect for Lily.

Y&R has squandered SO many promising younger actors & actresses (of every race) over the last decade & a half it's been ridiculous.

And as you've said the issue is more acute with AA characters (of both genders). The biggest problem with characters of color is they're only allowed agency in their interactions with other characters/actors of color.

That's why it's never made sense that people complain about KSJ and BJ being "boring" because their characters are written that way. Those same characters could be played by Academy Award winning actors of color and NOTHING would change.

Jordan was a terribly underwritten character but (much like Lamon & Redaric) Darnell Kirkwood was really attractive yet it didn't translate to audiences supporting his character. So the idea that Kristoff & Bryton are the problems is frankly illogical.

For some reason I can't see your post.

I did look him up, and he's cute but seems quite douchey on his instagram. Don't really care much for him from what I've seen so far

So this guy was up for Nate?

He jumped the gun by announcing it.

Wonder what happened with contract negotiations?

Maybe TPTB read through his instagram...

They usually Offer Contracts to two people for a contract gig and then negoiate

He probably spoke before he was allowed and YR pulled the offer
