No to he Vicky/JT instaromance.  Whatever happened to story? Now he's moving in...

I can see Lily resenting Sam's presence. At least that might be slightly interesting.

Tessa's song ...blah.

Hillary's sudden baby-rabies...   8000 other story possibilities. There are enough children/babies on the show now.

I wanna see Mariah go in on Tessa.

Sidenote... does anyone else see a resemblance between Cait Fairbanks and Jenica Bergere (Kathy)?   Not trying to create any story, but I can't help seeing the similarity.

You mean Cane the grinning idiot? I guess that actor thinks that's acting. All I see in Cane is his daily promo of using Crest for white teeth!  Cane is gaining on Nicholas in the hate!  I wish they'd write Cane off the show.

Damn isn't that the truth and it's been for decades. Doesn't solve a case, boring and also not interesting to me......

This is a TRUE detective who knows his job, not boring and is truly good. Detective Webber.

So odd to me how TPTB insist on keeping Mariah tied to Devon and Hilary. Her year having to be an employee at GC Buzz is coming up soon. So I guess they are positioning her to tied in another way. But I wouldn't put it past them to not only have her her as Hillary's co-host and simultaneously having her as Devon's only song writer.

Note how Devon's music business went into hibernation until it was time for Mariah and Tessa to get story again.

Meanwhile, Noah does nothing. Would it kill them to spread the wealth? Why not have him as a songwriter instead of having Mariah pull quadruple duty.

I'm hoping that the Mariah explosion and betrayal will lead to a return to the street-smart, man-stealing/stalking faux-ghost, Nick-flirting grifter Mariah instead of the milquetoast victim Cassiah stuff CG has been given during the past couple of years.

It won't. Even now, after she's done both Noah and Devon wrong, the writers have positioned Devon and Noah to be the villains in this reveal. At the end of the day, they'll be apologizing to her for Tessa's treachery. Mariah is the victim. She will take zero heat for her wrongdoing.

If they wanted to write for Noah in the story, they very well could. But apparently, giving him point of view and something to do takes away from Mariah's airtime. Telling a complete, rch, and compelling story comes secondary to her shine.

You're not going to tell me that incorporating Noah into this story wouldn't have made it richer. Developing Noah and Tessa as a couple would have made this story and fall out more compelling. Developing a friendship with Devon and Noah would have made this story more compelling. Developing a friendship with Noah and Hillary, having them possibly poised to be paired up after the fall out, would have made this story richer. Giving Tessa more of a point of view herself would have made the story more compelling.  But no, most of what we got was just Mariah's point of view. Mariah's pain. Mariah's confusion. Mariah's feelings. No one else or anything else signified.

I mean, Devon and Mariah broke up. She had 98% of the dialogue. That was months ago, and we still don't know how Devon feels about it. We know how Mariah feels though.

    • To me, there were some weaker writers on ATWT in the 1980s pre-Marland, but starting in 2000, the advent of the show's associated with Hogan Sheffer and Jean Passanante, the quality plummeted and remained in the toilet for the show's remaining years. It's amazing that so many actors were still able to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. I just don't think KMS was one of them.
    • Off camera so we could be surprised today.
    • What was most frustrating, is that RTPP was weakly written at the beginning and remained tedious for what seemed months on end. Then, in its last stretch, it suddenly perked right up and turned itself around significantly. Unfortunately, by that time NBC was fully committed to How to Survive a Marriage, and went ahead and cancelled the flourishing RTPP in favor of HTSAM.  Ironically, history repeated itself. HTSAM was dreadfully written in its opening months. NBC fairly quickly gave up on it and changed its time slot to compete with the ratings powerhouse ATWT. Wouldn't you know it, NBC hired Rick Edelstein to take over the writing reigns and the quality soared. It turned into a rich, layered, deep psychological drama along the lines of Harding Lemay's Another World. Alas, NBC axed this newly-shining soap too.

    • 100% this. Murder, She Wrote deserved to have a proper final season farewell on Angela Lansbury's terms after all she did for CBS primetime. Sadly Les Moonves denied us this. In a way Angela did call everyone out through the episodes that shaded both Friends and CBS.  Angela did not give a f--- about being elegant and classy with her shade. She was hurt and rightfully so and I don't blame her for reacting the way she did. It was difficult to watch when Angela tore up and it made me sad and angry.
    • I have a long-time friend with whom I used to watch soaps religiously when we were kids. When I told him about SON recently, I suggested that he jump into the forums so he could join the discussions about vintage daytime TV. He was incredulous that this TGL thread alone was up to a whopping 1183 pages. He asked, "How much can anyone even talk about a long-cancelled soap that much?!?" Then I reminded him that he has brought up the topic of The Guiding Light EVERY SINGLE TIME he has phoned me in the last 50 years!

So, he became sheepish and embarrassed, but relieved to know he's not alone in is undying love for his favorite show. TGL community rocks!
    • B&B is flailing along with one pointless plot after another. I could care less Liam is "dying". Having Sheila suddenly become Mother Theresa is ridiculous and they are obviously painting Luna into a corner which is stupid. Why get her pardoned only to have her basically repeat the same thing? I just don't get it. I love the location shoots, but why bring back Nick, without Jack??? B&B needs to build the next generation because it's just stale at this point and that makes me sad.
    • For novelizations that were promoted as being "based on the actual scripts," the Soaps & Serials books were weakly written, missing major details, and didn't really adhere to the source material. I bought them all when the company lunched, but was quickly disappointed by what I was reading. I wasn't surprised when S&S folded. I sold all my copies on eBay.
    • Did they show Nina telling Ric about the Sasha secret, or did that happen off-camera? I was surprised at the curves they were having Emma show today in her bikini!
    • LOL...I was going to say there were a couple of times Vanessa just wailed on him. it was some time after he left her at the altar, and she says something like "that felt good...I'd like to do it again!" Jordan must've embraced the physicality, because he's always doing something.
