Makes sense. Of all the guest hosts, she has the easiest rapport with the other women. And it’s a nice fallback if ABC decides to only do one cycle of DWTS a year.

And this one involves a former soap star-turned-prime-time star: Michael Weatherly apparently made lewd comments to would-be series regular, Eliza Dushku. When she complained, she was fired instead, and received $9.5 million, the amount she would have made as a series regular on Bull. Which airs on CBS, naturally, so none of this surprises me.

I'm so disgusted that these people lost jobs because of these trash men!

Me too. I always liked Michael Weatherly, but he showed himself to be a jerk. I could almost forgive some of the rude remarks, but then getting her fired when she objected to his "humor" proves he is an egotistical jackass. This article has a few more details about the incidents.

CBS should change their motto to "CBS, it's always worse than you'd imagine".  Just a disgusting environment of toxic hypermasculinity and rampant sexism.

This is a weakly written piece (she isn’t one of Vulture’s better columnists), but many here and elsewhere have said this over the years. The full headline is “CBS’s Toxic Culture Isn’t Just Behind the Scenes. It’s in the Stories It Tells.”

Gee, I wonder what this all means for Michael Weatherly and for "Bull." ;)

That is disastrous for the show. I could easily see it being canceled now. Surprising for me is that Dushku is a very popular and respected tv actress. It's not like they did this to a newbie without power in the industry. This would've been easy to resolve, but they simply didn't care. The fact that the producer was even saying she is HELPING the show and fit in, yet they still fired her is baffling. I'm glad she used her power in the industry to get a settlement out of it, but truly they are idiots for not working this out to begin with.

It certainly should be.  The fact that MW sent that text wanting to talk about ED's sense of humor to a higher up is the killer for me. How dare he? Well, we all know the answer to that, but he does not deserve to have a show after trying to make her the problem.  I won't be that surprised if he gets away with it though. He would have if this settlement had stayed under wraps.
