Casting Couch: GH: Liz's Mom

  • Members

With James DePavia most likely coming on as Jeff Webber I hope they cast his wife and Liz's mom

Id suggest Brynn Thayer who was Jenny Wolek on OLTL and also on Matlock

What are some other suggestions

Young Jeff/RDA was a hunk and a half, that's for sure.

Anna Stuart as Liz and Sarah's mom is a possibility.

Anna Stuart already appeared on GH as Gina (Dante) Lansing#1 eons ago.  I could more readily buy her as Lesley's long lost sister and Laura's new aunt!

Im good with Jimmy as Jeff. Its not like the role is unrecastable. Jeff Webber hasnt been on GH in 36 years & RDA was never gonna return . He didnt seem too fond of his GH past  so I am gonna be open minded about this

If JDP is indeed slated to join the show as Dr. Jeff Webber (which I think would be a bad idea, b/c I could never buy JDP as someone who wasn't rakish), then I'll go out on that metaphorical limb and say Cynthia Watros (ex-Annie, GL) might make for a good choice as his (ex-)wife and Elizabeth's mother.

If you want to put the audience in a coma then yes it makes sense.

Phelps isn't EP anymore. Just say NO to Kale Browne!

DePaiva will be fine if he's Jeff. Remember he's not how he looked in 2004 on OLTL! People age

Too bad Valentini had to have her crossover as Nora, but I think Hillary. B Smith would have been a decent choice.

I was thinking the same thing last night.

BTW Robert Newman is my ideal Dr Jeff Webber recast.

He never ages. It amazes me how great he still looks.

Kale Browne as Jeff Webber would make sense. He and Leslie Charleson (Monica) would work well together, and the two would be believable as ex-spouses and ex-colleagues.

Here is Kale Brown on GH in 1983

He is seen with Jackie Zeman beginning at approx. 8:14

Would it be crazy to make Anne Logan the mother?

BTW Robert Newman is my ideal Dr Jeff Webber recast.

If Anne Logan were the mother, wouldn't Elizabeth have been calling Audrey "Aunt Audrey" rather than "Grandmother" all these years? I think her principle ties to Steve and Audrey were through Jeff, and not her mother. I doubt Anne is her mom (although if it had turned out that way, I would have liked it.)

Robert Newman's 58, nine years younger than Richard Dean Anderson, but still age-appropriate enough.

But please: should this casting ever come to fruition...NO Kim Zimmer as his wife/Elizabeth's mother.

JDP isn't that much younger besides soaps cast younger for some recasts

Hmmm for Liz's mom I say I want someone really great. I can't think of anyone who'd fit the role, even though we don't know who she is lol
