Wow even LAFF is pulling reruns of the original

Damn. Haha.

She's getting the Cosby treatment. Actually worse because even TVone still airs his show.

Dear God, when TOM ARNOLD comes out looking like the sane one, you KNOW you'll never love again.

wish they get rid of Roseanne and keep rest of cast.

I don't worry so much about the rest of the cast so much as I worry about the BTS crew who aren't in the public eye and are now out of work.  I just hope there's time enough for them to land new jobs so they can keep supporting themselves and their loved ones.

"Roseanne's Family." "The Conner Family."  Where's Sandy Duncan when you need her to keep the show going?  I suppose Roseanne owns too much of the show, though...

Oh, it would be funny af to see Sandy Duncan replace Roseanne (maybe as Dan's heretofore unknown sister or aunt).

Damn.  Now I'm gonna have to watch "Star Wars" again for the first time.  (I LOVE YOU LUKE SKY--, ER, MARK HAMILL!!)

And I have to say you and everyone else who didn't give Roseanne a second chance were right.

I just chose to stay away, because of the godawful final season of the original series, and the fact that Roseanne's constant need to [!@#$%^&*]-stir for the press with all her personal dramas had plain worn me out.

Same here. Very well said.

As far as the reruns being pulled, it reminds me of not only the Cosby situation but 7th Heaven reruns being pulled when Stephen Collins', ahem, secret was revealed to the world. Other people worked on those shows and have led law-abiding, controversy-free lives, so why should they be punished? It's one of those big philosophical questions today in show biz.

So, smoke on your pipe and put THAT in!

Like, if CBS wants to file the serial numbers off, hire Sara and Ames McNamara and call it "Diane"... I probably wouldn't complain.

Is she in jail?  No.  She was free to say it and now she's free to pay the nonlegal consequences.

Well, I always said children weren't all that innocent. ;)

The Valerie Harper and The Hogans analogy is not an accurate one, IMO.

While Valerie Harper may have had a reputation for being difficult, she was never known for having racist tirades.  Her firing had to do with a salary dispute, not for spewing conspiracy theories and racist epithets.

Not comparable.

My analogy is simply in regards to a show going on without the matriarch, especially when the show itself is named after said matriarch.  #respecttovalerieharper

Dammit, could we just GIVE Shonda her own daytime talk show?  I would so be there, every damn day, ready to receive whatever truths she would be willing to impart upon her viewers.

Unrelated; this is whistling past the graveyard now, but this is an anecdote Whitney Cummings had in THR some weeks back as part of a creative roundtable that I thought was interesting:

Exchange "five-year-old" with "Michael" and you basically have the plot from an episode of "Good Times."

So now I can't even watch reruns!

This really bugs  me. As a viewer I should be able to make my own choice instead of it being taking away from me.

You're welcome:

I hated to be that petty, but it's as if some live in a dimension where things like DVD's and YouTube don't exist.

Meanwhile, anyone else note the irony in this occurring to the star of ANOTHER Carsey-Werner-produced series?  I'm putting Brett Butler, John Lithgow and Topher Grace on my all news alerts as we speak.
