Crystal had a boy and a girl with Ed.  The son during the 3rd season (I think she was already pregnant when she and Ed got hitched, yes?) and a girl towards the end of the 4th season right as the Rodbell's Diner was about to close.  I thought it was weird when Dan mentioned during the 8th season (I think the episode when Darlene gets married and he has his heart attack) that he hadn't talked to his father in two years, when Ed supposedly still lived in Lanford. But I suppose that doesn't necessarily mean they would speak to one another.

Okay, I've been reading this thread on and off and it looks like they have all the ingredients necessary for a successful reboot! They damn near got everybody back (can they get George Clooney too?

) which is rare!

And "mini Darlene" Emma Kenney is perfect for that role!

These reboots are getting better and better these days.

He was such a goofball on Facts of Life but he wasn't hurting anybody so it didn't bother me.  It would be fun to see Clooney try to play working class again but then again, nobody's got time for that!

Honestly, Clooney's best sitcom/pre-ER role was when he played that goofy detective Bobby on The Golden Girls.

Premieres Tuesday March 27th at 8:00PM with back-to-back episodes. It will stay at 8:00PM with The Middle @ 8:30PM. Fresh Off The Boat will have wrapped by then.

Adilah Barnes, who played Anne-Marie was listed as coming back as well in this release by TVByTheNumbers: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/more-tv-news/roseanne-returns-to-abc-in-late-march/

Deadline is also saying Natalie West will guest star as Crystal:

Guest stars from Roseanne reprising their roles in the revival include Estelle Parsons as Beverly Harris, Sandra Bernhard as Nancy Bartlett, Johnny Galecki as David Healy, Natalie West as Crystal Anderson, James Pickens, Jr. as Chuck Mitchell and Adilah Barnes as Anne Marie Mitchell

Martin Mull as Leon is the only glaring absence to me - he was a major part of the original show's recurring cast.

You're in the same category of the hacks that sell paintings with a single dot for thousands or even millions of dollars.

    • I have to check out his Bela Garody on Search for tomorrow. He was one of the main reasons EON worked for me when I was watching. Truly unforgettable presence. Handsome in the most perverse and sinister way. They don't make faces like that anymore.
    • My favorite moment in SOAPDISH is the HW taking the star to the mall in NJ to improve "morale"!!
    • Oh no! The shoulder pads! I will mourn them when they're gone. Please tell me the head pieces and hats remained!?
    • Shout! TV has now added season 26. Not sure what the reasoning for that was, but maybe it was the one that was ready to go...
    • It's AWFULLY hard to tell.  But out of the (approximately) 16 weeks so far in 2025, Bryton has only had about 12 episodes.  That's significantly less than 1 per week.  Once the actor drops down to less than 1 per week for an extended period of time (such as a 39-week cycle), I start thinking there's no contract in place for him or her.  Surely these folks aren't tying themselves down to a show for a guarantee of 1 or 2 episodes a month.   If I counted right, Bryton has had 21 episodes in the past 24 weeks.  They're either (a) about to kick into high-gear & work his ass off to meet his minimum guaranteed appearances, or else (b) he ain't got a contract that guarantees him squat.
    • These contract guarantees of 1 ep per month are ridiculous. How can you even have a story if your character apprars 4-5 times in a month? It's sad.
    • It's hard to tell with some actors appearing on average 4 times in a month whether they're recurring or just on a low guarantee contract. Someone recurring  like Beth Maitland can be used a lot for several months then disappear. So the monthly tallies aren't enough to go by.
    • Of the so-called "contract" cast members, I'd venture to say these are recurring: Bryton James, Camryn Grimes, and (possibly) Michael Graziadei.  I've suspected since 2018 that Kate Linder and Christian LeBlanc are recurring.  And I believe we all know Miss Ordway is, because she said so. lol.
    • Dante blaming Gio instead of his dweeb son and the other dweeb was just ridiculous. Gio's paternity story is going in circles with no reveal. I've already started fast forwarding Drew and his stupid ho Willow's story. Kristina's story is beyond dumb with no great payoff.
