They already got rid of her and recast. Her name was Lauren Boles! LOL and the girl still acts better than the tragedy that replaced her.

Thankfully DAYS doesn't have the kidlet problems the other soaps do. At least Sami's brats are all off-canvas. We'd be seeing Johnny all day every day. It'd be different if he focused on one who could act ... but then the girl who plays Faith on Y&R can act but I can't stand seeing her nearly day in and day out either .... kids on soaps do not need to be driving a storyline.

Haha. I hope Jordi Vilasuso is still around. Time to polish those headlights...

Deidre, bust out your old yellow contact lenses! It's time to dance with the devil again!

Seriously I'm glad for this news. What do they have to lose? The show has been unidentifiable for years, save for a few weeks during their 50th. It shows they won't give up without a fight.

A return of Stella Lombard? Sure! A return of Austin's Pecs? Go for it. An OLTL Ford brother as a recasted plastic-surgery Peter Blake? Bring. It. On.

Granted, with their tiny budget, we'll have to see a forklift "levitate" Deidre above her bed, but we can pretend she's floating.

I will agree on all points with this. Sheri knew Days and knew how to write it. My guess is....NBC, Sony or both may have told Ken "you want this show to stay on the air? then those 3 will be allowed to do what they do, without your HACKERY BULLSHIT to interfere." I also think that they will not gut 6 months of story...but all that material may get some very, very heavy editing done so they can cut the time of filming and airdates much closer together....also allowing this new team to map out and write what they want to do.

Oh no, Erika's fan club did an interview with her and she ripped into Dena when she was HW at OLTL and basically...told the truth about Dena's writing. She was out at OLTL within weeks.

I'm fairly certain Erika had an amiable relationship with RC, though after Dena, I'm sure that if she didn't, she'd have kept quiet.

Ok. I never watched OLTL but have heard about Ron and Dena over there....and some stories I'm hearing about her tonight? she sounds like she has been just outright EVIL to people she's worked with, so much so that some are LOL that she got fired.

    • Have to agree re MM. The goody two shoes character and writing doesn't help but maybe a more dynamic actor would help Brandon lift his game also. I found the song sequence a little OTT. First of all it should have been shorter and maybe the song fades out and just some music to accompany the montage. I think it would have worked better if Anita had have been alone after everyone left and started tinkling leading into the song, with Vernon coming in observing and then joining her for  a close moment. Everyone standing around felt a little too much.

    • And sadly I think that’s the trivia Both Jeanne Cooper and Eric Braeden went with for years and years. Lol
    • But people were hating so bad on amc and the final year and the ratings sucked. Business wise they made the right call. Oltl who even gained some ratings back and weren’t they higher as GH at one point is a decision and never understood.
    • Ann Williams was the first Maggie Powers on The Doctors but left to have a baby. Maggie was successfully recast so Ann picked up the role of Eunice (Jo's sister on Search for Tomorrow) and played that role for 10 years before being killed of in 1976. That led to her role of Margo on EON.
    • Looking at those totals it seems most contract actors are on a 1 or 2 week average guarantee. I assume contracts are still operating on 13 week cycles so you would have to know the particular actors contract starting date to work out their guarantee. The question remains as to what actors listed as contract are actually recurring? Bryton ?
    • Yep, that scene was at the conclusion of the Derek Thurston vs George Packard storyline, when Kay decided neither of them should run Chancellor.  By the time she put Victor in charge, Victor had been on the show for months & months with his Rolls Royce, his ranch, and Newman Enterprises.  SONY released some Y&R "trivia cards" in the late 1980s, and one of the questions was "who brought Victor Newman to Genoa City?" The answer on the back of the card is "Kay Thurston, to run Chancellor Industries", and it's a wrong answer lol.
    • I think someone said it did exist, but I can't remember.
    • The bit with the scarf reminds me of the fabled stuffed animal scene with Rick and Phillip. (That wasn't debunked, was it?)
    • Ohh, interesting. I instantly gravitated towards her in that episode. Of course I'm already hooked and want to know why she was trying to poison that older lady, but then how did the older lady know to switch the mugs so Susan drank her own poison...  but I have too many timelines I'm watching right now haha.  Oh, Bolger is definitely hot. I didn't realize he was on GL haha. I knew him from OLTL and other primetime stuff.
