I'm sure it will end up on Max soon. I'd recommend at least buying one episode at $2.99. It is worth it! I was watching episodes last night and the picture quality was pristine.

The video shot was of a Bobby imposter storyline. Patrick Duffy playing the imposter after have plastic surgery. That meant season 9 wouldn't have been a dream season.

If they did the imposter story with ques from KL's Cathy Geary story, where she basically becomes Ciji, that could have worked.

Maybe Cliff would have been behind it to have faux Bobby give him a big share of Ewing Oil. Pam would fall in love with him, feelings would be mutual, he confesses out of guilt. A "Cliff, how could you!!"

And perhaps, faux Bobby would have had an edge that could show be was more ruthless than JR im businessb more manipulative, and aids in a revenge plot to take him down? Sue Ellen and faux bobby could pretend to be in love, she dumps JR, has a fake marriage with faux Bobby, and they gain custody of John Ross? With faux Bobby being more cunning, and being in JR'S orbit, and being at the office regularly he could find enough dirt to drag his name in the mud. Lucy will join him by revealing the time he married her off to a gay for a business deal. And bring back the actor reprise the roll to help testify as a charcter witness for either the custody battle or the criminal charges he would face once enough evidence is unearthed to prove his criminal practices. Like the asisn oil well thing that led to the Who Shot Jr story.

Dallas group I belong to.

I don't think they went the imposter route because the producers knew fans wanted Bobby back.

Also Dynasty had already done an imposter story with Krystal the previous year.

@j swift watching season 6 episode and Pam and Sue Ellen are talking about their relationship. Sue Ellen mentions how she hated her from the first time she met her until recently. Pam says she never noticed smiling. Pam acknowledges that she hated Sue Ellen too.

I tagged you since you mentioned their relationship in a previous post.

That's the story I heard - that they "shot" a few alternative takes about Bobby's return to cover up the dream solution, not that it was ever seriously considered. Explains the potato picture quality of the pictures too - they're done that way because obviously they were never going to be used.

I might be wrong, but I think there was some other "alternative" scene that was sent out as a decoy.

    • Seems like the Dobsons were aiming for a Joe/Sara/Justin triangle or, having decided that Joe would be killed off, Justin would be waiting in the wings. But that never came to pass and I don't think there was much reference to Justin/Sara as time went on.That was something that could have been used later on but Doug Marland may not have known or cared. Also, when the show went to an hour they could add a lot of characters and not rely on the stalwarts, hence Jackie/Alan/Elizabeth. And after Leslie died, Mike went into Dad mode with Hope. Hope/Ben never took off and Hope was replaced and then dropped and Ben moved on to Eve, whose romance with Tim fizzled and Jordan Clarke left (by choice?)

    • When I was a kid, I would watch DOOL with my mom. I remember Denise as Susan so well. And later, of course, on GH. How sad to hear she has passed. RIP.
    • I have to dig that scene up on YT. I'm glad they gave them some kind of happy ending, even if it was really late. Interesting! I remember Justin and Sarah being involved, but I either forgot or never caught their backstory. The girl with money and social position of course turns out to be Jackie. He sort of did to Sarah what Vanessa did to his brother! I do remember Justin started out as not the greatest guy. Kind of a horn dog. It's only when Ross comes on that he becomes the "good" brother. I only have some vague memories of Ben and Hope, mostly of when they were in a positive relationship. He certainly changed over time. "Chill" would be the way I would describe Ben (along with "handsome but kind of a yawn") for most of his time on GL, so hearing he once had a violent temper is very surprising.
    • Yes. That's called good writing.
    • interesting idea.  That makes sense, as MVJ seems to have set up each character development (traits) for future plot developments.
    • I really enjoyed today's episode. It showcased a lot of the other cast and I saw hints of storyline potential (Smitty & Bill). Martin definitely has some anger issues and I recall him being overly scared about protecting his family and having all the doors locked, coming out of one of his "dreams". There's obviously a lot going on there and I can't wait to find out more. I'm thinking June is going to be more than just the issue story of the week. I think she just might be related to one or more of our main characters. As for Tomas, yes, Alex Alegria is not the strongest actor, but he's pretty to look at and he emotes something. I'm just not sure what that something is yet.
    • No. Absolutely No. I don't know who this is... since it's just some random Twitter quote... But NO. The only parallel between OG Caroline's leukemia and Liam's tumor... is that they are both having cancer. That's it. Other than that... I see absolutely no similarities.  Caroline hid her sickness almost till the last moment. She was also giving the viewers signs that she is not well for days if not weeks before the diagnosis. It was not like Liam... falling down and hitting his head on a table and bam he has a tumor. Caroline's storyline broke our hearts, because of her attempt to live out the rest of her days with dignity and grace. It was written slowly and with care. What we are seeing right now with Liam is the complete opposite. It's begging the viewers for empathy and cheap tears. It's so in your face and trashy... I can't believe they are using cancer for something like this. Bradley Bell should never do terminal stuff again in his stories. It's borderline offensive to people who actually have lost relatives to cancer. To me it is.
