That was Latham. What SSM took some credit for was Sheila's crappy 2005 return and the poison necklace crap - I remember how she hyped it as a good story idea.

In that 1996 interview, where Kay Alden says she's at her computer for 12-16 hours a day - do you all think that's standard for head writers?

Yeah, I'm good with her staying away forever and just letting it be but IF the story was really, really, really good, I'd accept undoing everything and sending her off for good. Although I just don't see what the point of it is.

Not unless you're determined to write a great show and put heavy emphasis on editing/perfecting scripts. So my guess would be, for the current headwriters, no. lol

That I've never been 100% sure on to be honest, I've just narrowed it down to LML's fetish for everything Phyllis. I've always suspected they had to rewrite the story when Kimberlin couldn't come back and they just settled on this.
