Kay Alden back at Y&R

I think if Shelly Altman was available to YR she would hired as co head writer. She has modern flair for current soap mixed in with Sally and Kay old school traditonal approach. Its like the east meets the west here. Shelly was so faithful to YR history when she was there.

I'm assuming Pratt is already gone and working on that new Lee Daniels project. So, unless there's a quick interim regime (comprised of the existing breakdown writers), I would assume Sally is getting started this week.

Isn't Y&R shot about a month in advance? If they start this week, I would assume Sally and Kay will be in the credits by the first week of November the latest.

Spot on.

I wish I could have been in that room and feel the energy.  This is all so surreal.

I would smile even more, if they centered the entire first meeting on Kay and Sally being caught up on the 10 years of BS done on the show and hearing them both talk S**t! on LML/MAB/JFP/Pratt....haha

The show writes about 3-4 months in advance and tapes 4-5 weeks in advance.  Since they started today, their first episode should be in January.

I was hoping they would start in December. I am curious to see what exactly they will do.

It seemed like that past writing regimes started like 3 months tops after the announcement about the writing change was made.

Josh Griffith was announced the new HW of Y&R at the end of July 2012 and his stuff starting airing in early October. So that is only 2 months

Pratt was named head writer two years ago and his stuff didnt hit until February 2015.

Uh... He was named HW in September 2014 and started in January 2015.

I bet nothing change for the black characters. If something positive change for them I probably check in.

On this week's podcast Jamey Giddens said Sally's stuff starts airing in December, he didn't give an exact date.
