A network executive duped by a fan into saying something really stupid!  Wow!  No wonder gh is doomed!  

I've never believed Nathan Varni had much power and I still don't - I think he is a glorified assistant who they parked at GH out of sheer disinterest who is feeling himself and pushing his job limits while also facilitating the network's mandates to the show. That being said, it's clear how little they care about this show when they leave a dude like this at the register. He makes Brian Frons look like Obama in terms of public behavior.
