I noticed tonight while watching B&B that TV Pop was advertising that they will be airing same-day eps of Days starting Monday. Didn't see this mentioned anywhere. Sorry if I missed it.

 

Do you think it will help Days at all?

I had a feeling it was only a matter of time........

"POP" in a way has potential to become like how "SOAPnet" was to their ABC soaps, only this time with CBS/SONY.....(though I guess GH will be added at some point...)

When I saw the promos today, I assumed this had been the big announcement made at the Emmys earlier this year.

Any extra money helps DAYS and it's good to see CBS owned POP! throw it a bone, financially. 

With only DAYS, Y&R, B&B, and GH left, there are longtime behind-the-scenes connections between the first 3 soaps, leaving GH the odd man out. 

 

Glad to see a rebirth, of sorts, of SOAPnet's original concept. They've got repeats of 3 soaps, plus reruns of Melrose Place, Dynasty, and 90210. I'm a happy camper with a full TiVo of recordings  

The only thing missing is the classic marathons....They can easily do one for DOOL at least since it's the 50th anniversary.

Had SoapCity achieved its full potential and fruition it would probably still be its own network.  

 

I use to catch Days and Y&R on SoapNet regularly. If I recall right, they were the two most watched programs on the network. 

Yay! Happy about this. As Gray Bunny pointed out, it's basically SoapNet. LOL. They have Dynasty, Melrose Place, both 90210s ... can we get Knots Landing? Pretty please?

Not yet....which is why if they did decide to do one for Days maybe this would spark interest to do one for Y&R/B&B (even though I have this horrible feeling it would be 2006-2013 episodes for some reason...)

This is good news, because I honestly thought they were going to be drifting away from the same-day repeats of soaps. They discontinued the post-primetime airings in favor of a late-night slot when BB isn't in season, and it looks like they dropped the morning day-after B&B show. As of right now, it seems DAYS will only air once, but in a nice primetime slot.

I just want them to show classic episodes from time to time, at least at Christmas.

Well, that IS kinda what SOAPnet was offering during its later years...

I just wonder if we will eventually get these type of promos..........with the Y&R/B&B/Days casts.
