Well despite taking it off DVR for now, I was home at lunch and watch. That would've been a sizzling Friday cliffhanger as originally intended. Did not expect that to happen at all. I guess what's perplexing is that Thomas & Caroline weren't THAT hot and heavy in the past, but she sure didn't put up a fight when he locked the door. (And we know Caroline is not one to be passive.) Bizarre.

I know that we usually kidding that the show is on auto-pilot with Brad Bell on vacation when the plots turn as ludicrous and instal-plotted. But honestly, right now the plots are as deep in the pots that Brad Bell apparently even forget to put on auto-pilot. It's a gigantic mess! Every single story ever since Aly's death is DOA. Hopefully Maya's story will be the saving grace 'cause in the other "stories" the actors are wearing it super thin. Ashleigh Brewer is apparently as WTF-amused about that instal-wyatt pairing. And that master thespian Darin Brooks seems to realize that is pushed around like an empty glass...

Othello?  Again?  I hope he deejays IRL, because aside from his (awful) once a month appearances, I hope he has a career to fall back on...LOL

The Caroline/Ridge scenes were good, Caroline wanting a family is an organic way to start  the (inevitable) breakup of Ridge/Caroline 2.0.

RE is entertaining, and I think in time, NuZende may start to gel...

    • I am blown away that Christie Clark is 51, and she debuted 39 years ago. They gave her a lovely script today.  But, I could not think of any other examples in culture of someone able to jump right back into the skin of a character, after virtually retiring from acting years ago. I was trying to recall if Carrie left for a bit with Anna after Roman died (because she wasn't at Bo & Hope's wedding), and then returned as a pre-teen Christie?  Or if she was just SORASed off-screen?  But, whenever I see the character I am reminded how much more trauma she's endured than Sami, and yet she remains such a nice person.
    • Weirdly I feel like Nina was the most sus about the entire situation.  Normally I would have given this one to Carly, but Nina was always kind of trying to make it make sense. I think Nina (and Alexis) are actually really smart characters.  They just constantly get in their own way with dumb plans lol.
    • Rewatching some of 1991 I had to appreciate what a strong week March 5-12 1991 was. Cassandra dies, Nina shoots David, Sheila switces the babies, and drunk Nikki all occurring simultaneously. 1991 and 92 were pretty strong overall.
    • Still loving all the Gio fallout, but the scenes that really surprised me this episode were the ones with Nina and Maxie. I was not expecting Nina to be the one to put together all the pieces about Sasha's baby daddy. This custody hearing is about to get explosive!
    • I really hope after the secret comes out their interactions don't stop
    • BAHAHA  I needed that laugh today. Talk about one note.  I would put Derek and Ashley a notch above Dani. Dani's scenes are basically rinse, lather, and repeat for 60 episodes and counting.  It's as if she was transported from the soap opera Passions onto this soap.  MVJ should put aside her friendship/admiration for Karla and look at the fact that this character isn't wroking as written.
    • Agreed.  It doesn't feel in character at all.
    • You could always tell whenever Douglas Marland enjoyed writing for a particular actor, because he'd pull out all the stops for them; and Julianne Moore was no exception.
    • I'm sorry, but I just can't get past the fact that it was Lois, of all people, who deceived so many people.  No matter how hard Rena Sofer tries to justify Lois' actions - and boy, does she work hard! - it just isn't something Lois would've done.
    • Honestly, Olivia had kind of a good reason to keep her son safe from a mobster for two decades.  Sonny literally shot Dante in the chest lol and had multiple family members die, get injured, threatened, kidnapped, etc, etc.   I know you don't watch the show very often, but it's not like Olivia should have shown up and given Sonny and his 18-year-old girlfriend Brenda shared custody of a kid.  That would have been a horrible, life threatening idea.
