They were never going to hire any of the 2.0 teams or Karen Harris or Claire Labine. Never. Unfortunately.

Anyone who thinks they're trading up is sorely mistaken. These two are just a different version of crap. Passante on AMC and Altman on AW were two of the worst things I've seen.

Thanks for letting me know but, I assure you, I am not. Altman had some decent things/ideas/stories going on on Y&R, and her Adam and Phyllis/Kelly stories actually were somewhat good.

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm certainly not defending Pissante. I wish she were gone from daytime. But, since everyone likes to bring up previous HW gigs, I'll bring up the one they had together that wasn't atrocious and actually got me to somewhat commit daily to my favorite show yet again.

What those two did on Y&R (as mediocre to bad as it was), is TONS better than Ron's work. This says more about Ron. Ron was like a drugged out, half-dying James E. Reilly on his worse day. The pit of the pits. No comparison. While I complained about Sharon or the travesty of a story for Hillary/Devon, etc, all that was STILL MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the almost cosmically major BS that Ron has been doing for years. I will welcome them (and then go on hating them).

Called it! But it really was just an educated guess. LOL But I'm disappointed by his replacements because once again we get recycled HWs who failed at other shows. I would've loved to see someone new, or promoting someone on the staff who's never been HW before.

Ron needed to be shut down, and I have no sympathy for him. He did this to himself. He went from hero to villain, he's the reason he's gone. I just hope some of the veteran characters and love for the show's traditions won't go with him.
