I'm with Drake, this doesn't really track. But...sigh...this is DAYS.

In fact, even as recently as Will's coming out, the writers had one of our characters having a problem with it but those lines were removed from the script. You can't do that these days.

Roman maybe? Or Caroline Brady. If I remember correctly, show seemed to hit both of them might not be accepting, but didn't got that direction with either character.

And it's been right under his nose. He runs into Tori, whom he had a brief relationship with a long time ago, and she's Japanese. And Paul's Japanese. And they're the only two Japanese people in Salem, and John is still not putting it together. [Laughs]

This made me laugh.

He's always been pretty self-aware about the idiocy of the writing for John and not to take it too seriously but still be professional. Some actors, sadly, do not.

honestly, the only way for it to work for John to have a kid in his mid 20s would be if this happened when he thought he was Roman. However Brady was born after that and he's like near 40 so if they go with a few year earlier than when Will was born, we are talking 93-95. Days and their uneven stupid SORASing pretty much gave them alot of leeway here

Given how many times John has been brainwashed/captured/whatever, I could at least buy that a, uh, sample was taken from him at some point and given to Tori, because Stefano -- for some nefarious/perverted reason, wanted to create a child from his worst enemy's DNA or something. It's weird to slip an affair between John and Tori into the timeline when they don't need to, especially since Stefano has already taken materials from Roman, Kate, and God knows who else.

I'm surprised Stefano hasn't tried to have a child with Marlena

You have to hand it to Drake Hogestyn: he's always had a sense of humour about himself, DAYS and the preposterousness of John Black. And that saves him from contempt.

One thing I have always liked about Drake is that he knows his character's history and remember past storylines, despite all the different identities John's had.
