There are no words to describe how bad today's show was. Although Craptini have produced a lot of them already. Maxie/Nathan/Dorky story ....giving this story tension where there isnt any. Why were Nathan's underwear so tight? Made zero sense.......

Spencer's party......hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah....just a hot mess that shouldnt have even made it to live TV. It doesnt help that all of the actors involved minus Joselyn can't act. The actor who plays Cameron is just as bad as Spencer.

I keep forgetting this is what Craptini is giving the viewers for February sweeps....

I'm just waiting for ABC to pull the plug on GH.

I think GH is safe for the time being. There haven't been many rumors of any replacement so I'd guess they're pretty happy with the show. I don't want it cancelled because it has insane potential.

I muted the show everytime Frog Face (how long is he back for? Ugh. I was so happy when he left), Woodpile (still dreadful but actually showed a TINY spark of life today, still awful but he tried) and Maxie were on past their initial first scene. They were all just SO annoying.

I guess I don't mind the Cameron actor because they aren't shoving him down my throat and trying to make him all cute and adorable and run all over town like he's 30. But yeah, he's not that great. I like the Josslyn actress and meh to Emma but she's tolerable, I suppose. They're all annoying though. Josslyn deserves better, to be honest. She stands out, but NOT in a bad way, in a GOOD way. I want more scenes of them with their parents. Nikolas and Spencer are the only duo allowed to even be together, unless it's a holiday. Of course, Liz and Carly WERE on but at the hospital up Jakeson's ass like always. Liz is so in love with him and couldn't wait to find a reason to dump Ric. How long before Ric becomes the villain in this story? Sigh. I think Becky has great chemistry with Rick and Billy though. I wouldn't mind a REAL triangle but that ain't happening.

I'm kind of over weepy heroine Carly, TBH. Laura Wright is fantastic though. I was somewhat liking Sonny and Carly finding their way back to each other during the Franco-then-prison mess but not after Sonny's prison break hero worship. No thanks. I want them split up again.

Kelly Monaco was checked in, partially, today. She's one of the most obvious checked in or checked out actors around, IMO. You can always tell when she likes what she's doing or not.

I usually demand men shave and cut their hair (most just look dreadful to me with long unkempt hair and a shaggy beard -- some men can pull of a well kept beard and long hair, but that's just it - well kept) but I don't mind Sonny's facial hair, actually. I know. I'm surprised too.

I feel like Blakemore is SO checked out most of the time. LOL. I also think dudeman is onto Jordan and Anna, to be honest. At least Blakemore plays it that way, IMO.

I guess I liked Jordan and Anna but even then they barely held my attention. Finola seems checked in for a change so that's nice. Let's hope Anna can actually solve this case. LOL. I know, I know.

"Spixie" is one of the most unhealthy, abusive (on both sides) relationships I've ever seen on a soap. It's ironic, as I remember some fans pushing it years ago because it was supposed to be so healthy and would allow Maxie to grow up.

The whole Spinelli/Maxie/Woodpile is so forced.....all of a sudden Woodpile is up in arms over Spinelli. And now all of sudden Spinelli realized off camera that Maxie was his true love. The same crap writing from Carlivati.

I didnt find the suff with Spinelli unbelievable. He didnt all of a sudden realize Maxie was his true love. He came to town to drop off Georgie and he mentioned that he was unsure about his feelings. He shares a child with her. Things are different now bc she is allowed to be in that child's life as her mother. Ellie was playing house with someone else's kid and now that mother is back. She picked up on stuff that Spinelli, wasnt concious of and called him out on it. He came to explore if she was right. I think its totally understandable that a part of him must wonder what it would be like to raise their baby together as a family. It happened "off screen" bc neither character was on the show. We didnt need to see Ellie or Spinelli return weeks prior to this to set this all up.

I dont care for the couple, but I prefer what RC is doing here using Maxie's history to generate story as opposed to she and Nathan just laying up in bed having sex, which they literally did for like 3 weeks straight and most of us complained about that.

    • I am so over these reboots that on the one hand, want to trade off the nostalgia for the original and then change everything anyway. So those who liked the original will most likely be disappointed in the changes and it doesn't mean anything to newer viewers who have no connection. Maybe if they do have some knowledge of the original they will be turned off, thinking that it's some irrelevant old person's show. Anyone who watched and liked 7th Heaven would be way out of the desired demo by now.
    • I think that kind of thinking gives the writers a free pass. OK let's have Fred murder someone but not face any real consequences because Mary loves him. Maybe she'll be angry for a few weeks and Bill will swear to avenge the death but that will blow  over then we can just go on. The idea that a bit of self loathing and rejection is punishment enough is ridiculous. Especially when these type of characters never reform. It allows the writers to go for shock value over and over.instead of crafting storylines that really delve into a dark/ villianous character. Not many people IRL can get away with multiple crimes and still be apart of a community.
    • I guess Wayne felt it was now or never. He'd made a splash at Days and probably hoped that would lead to a primetime series. If he signed for another 3 years at Days then the momentum would be lost and he's probably have to stay in soaps like so many others. And in the back of his mind there was the knowledge he could probably get a role on SB or GH if he didn't luck out in primetime or Days didn't want him back. As it turned out he returned to Dynasty and got a couple of primetime gigs before agreeing to go back to Days.

I got to agree. The show was a mess.  The stories that are not working were the ones featured in today's episode. That was a red flag indicating how bad the episode was going to be.
    • Thanks as always @alwaysAMC The remote was panned in the soap press at the time, especially Philip wandering around in the costume as well as some of the comedy.  I have to admit it didn't bother me, even though I knew how ludicrous the idea was of the Spauldings having a wedding at a theme park. I thought there were some fun moments and I did like the scene where Lucy got to cry and grieve over what Brent had done to her.  I think I was just glad to get away from the stories in Springfield, which were bad and getting worse.  There are a number of attempts at revamping the opening music in 1996. I'll be interested in what you think of them. I remember being glad they updated the photos but also noticing how cheap they looked. The show did need a new opening. Sadly, Rauch would instead just not even have an opening for over 5 years.
    • BTG: - Shelley Curtis first listed as Director on May 19   Another FOJulie director.
    • It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a good soap cat fight so this was highly satisfying. Loved the Drew/Curtis scenes. Drew may not end up murdered but someone is going to try and kill him and it feels like it’s going to be much sooner than later. Who thought Dante ranting and raving for weeks on end would be good writing just to create angst between him and Gio. I really don’t think you needed to make Dante this fuc.king annoying.
    • I get what you're saying, in that this is what allows you to accept what you are watching, and that works for you. But for me, changing the traits of a character that much with a recast and new writing, then they are no longer the same character.  I am unable to accept that a villain is now just a nice dude because the show wants me to, I just cannot.  If they want a grey character, then they should write off the villain and *create* a new character who is grey.  I'll never accept that Sonny Corinthos is a nice guy, despite what GH wants me to think.  Same goes for the villains on DAYS. It's frustrating for me, and not enjoyable.  It occurs to me that I watch soaps to be entertained, and the current show is just making me angry and irritated. It's not fun for me.  I want to honor Drake to see John's story conclude, but there isn't much of interest to me anymore at all, so I'll probably stop following the show in a few weeks.
    • The wikipedia article doesn't explain much. I watched the Party of Five reboot, it was on Freeform in 2020.  It was five years ago, but I'll tell you what I remember: In the original Party of Five series , the parents died, and the five sibling orphans worked together to raise themselves with the older ones looking out for the younger, while managing the family restaurant.  The oldest child wants to have fun but ends up assuming the responsibility. In the 2020 reboot: The family were Mexican, the parents were undocumented, and the oldest child is an adult who could stay in the US for DACA.  In the reboot, instead of the parents dying -- in the first episode the parents were arrested by ICE and sent back to Mexico.   The five children were left in the U.S. to raise themselves with the older ones looking out for the younger, while managing the family restaurant.  The oldest child wants to have fun but ends up assuming the responsibility.  The teens go through teen stuff and the older ones explore careers.  The child daughter feels sad without her parents, and there is also a baby.  But the children were able to have periodic phonecalls with their parents in Mexico, which were very emotional.  The children hire an attorney to try to get their parents returned to the U.S.  The dad phones them to check on the management of the restaurant.  The younger children crave talking to the mom on the phone. The viewers also see how the parents are coping with the strain in Mexico:  the mom works as a nanny and the dad gets odd jobs-- they almost divorce, and the mom wants to stay in Mexico.  I think a few of the children got to take the bus to Mexico to visit their parents. The youngest child was a baby and the next-youngest missed the parents very much.  In the season one finale, it was decided that the youngest two would remain Mexico and live with their parents.  The older children remained in the USA and were following their dreams.  Season One finished airing just as the COVID epidemic began and everything shut down. The show was not renewed for Season Two.   That's all I remember.  It was good but very different from the original. Edit to add: Amazing how the world has changed in five years.  The reboot was filmed in 2019 during the first Tr*mp presidency, and aired in 2020.  The immigration situation was tense then, and that was explored in the series.  But it seems carefree in comparison to the real world today in 2025. Edit to add more thoughts.  I have no idea what would have happened in future seasons, since the five siblings were no longer a "party of five" at the end of Season One.   Supposedly the cancellation wasn't even announced until after the Season One finale aired.  But the season one finale was 90 minutes and wrapped up some lose ends, so maybe the producers anticipated a cancellation, and did that just in case? Perhaps if it there had been future seasons, the younger children would age and then return to the USA and the five would reunite? I don't know.
    • Probably not. Then again, if any character defined the final 25 years of GL it was Reva.
