I agree with everyone Erika Slezak is a brilliant choice. I feel like we will get Kim Zimmer.

Nothing against Erika but I don't have fond memories of her attempts at playing blue collar. We wouldn't get her time as the waitress, we'd get Niki 15.0.

I agree, and I am bewildered why anyone thinks Slezak and her RADA trained dialect will pull off a blue collar character. Also, she always sort of reads older to be than she is, she's late 60's pushing 70 and reads that way to me.

I also don't think it would be someone like Slezak or Strasser as they're far too identifiable with OLTL, and I don't see Carlivati and Valentini trying to carve out anything new for these ladies as he did for the other transports once the Prospect Park debacle hit.

If it was a better story and good writing - with a fully cognizant Luke trying to face his own demons for some other organic reason - I'd choose Erika in a minute. But it's not, and I also think casting her would be more about Ron and Frank trying to once again lay claim to all of OLTL.

Too affected with that staged and contrived way she speaks. I guess it would help to know what kind of role this is going to be but how about Dorothy Lyman, or is she too unique to play this?
