B&B coming to Amsterdam

  • Members

in September or October some actors will come over to Amsterdam in The Netherlands for a new locationshoot. It's not yet knows who will come over, but next week they will be talking about where to film the scenes with the Dutch broadcaster and the city of Amsterdam.

It looks like they will move over to more European countries this year and more locations will be announced soon.

Some of these kids from B&B could benefit from an Amsterdam experience.

LOL! It's cool that they are doing these location shoots, but I hope they don't overdo it.

One thing I do wish is that they'd mix it up in terms of what cast members go. This could be an interesting trip for the younger characters like Hope, Wyatt, Oliver, Ally, etc.

No such thing! These location shoots further enhance the B&B brand - both here (as a soap that is not doing it on the cheap) as well as keeping with it's International reputation. I imagine that B&B's continued "larger than life" image makes it a far easier sell internationally. Should it ever be cancelled on CBS, it probably has enough buyers internationally to continue production - perhaps with a cable or streaming US deal. This really is awesome. i'm sure they get incredible deals as far as production, etc. as a trade off for showcasing these other countries.

Totally agree! The more the better. I'm very excited about this one.

Well damn. If I was a soap actor, I'd want to be on B&B. They stay doing location shoots. I just wish that Brad would send other characters on the canvas on the location shoots (e.g. Maya/Carter/Aly/Oliver/Rick/Caroline), but that would require them to have stories.

This is very cool.

From a purely selfish perspective, I'd love for them to film in London (even though the show no longer airs here due to some odd contractual poaching between a defunct channel and one that has never seen the light of day).

Was the Venice shoot the last location that featured such a wide range in characters?

Portofino in 2002 was probably the biggest remote the show ever did. Forresters and Spectras and some more were present. Not to mention it provided screen material for an entire month...
