Disasters? FrankenTodd! Silazzzzz! Dr O! Kaka! Jillian Jerome! Five complete failures and I'm just getting warmed up! No LT story plans just plots plots plots! MAB could only be worse if paired with MS (thank you for the reminder B!).

You're welcome, boo! :P

And I'm trying to make it through this episode but my patience is running thin. Silas, Nina, Levi, Sabrina, and Nathan dominating the screen does not endear me to watch. I keep switching my TV over to A&E, eagerly waiting for The First 48 to come on. At least it interests me.

Have to get this off my heart

I dont care that sabrina is grieving the smirf baby. Good riddance. Can she leave now in a straijacket already. Toss a few electro shock session that will leave her unable to ever speak, snivel or bat eyelashes ever again and i will be even happier.

Exactly. I'd actually care (too) if the actress wasn't so dreadful and chewing up the damn scenery. At this rate, I'm expecting the set to crash in on her and Jason Thompson.

I don't wish for Sobby to be tied to Patty for the next 18 years, so bye Gabe! However, we know Dr. O has Blanket and will exchange him for her freedom after her next crime wave. So anyone who is grieving Blanket, stop!

Please take that back. We don't need to speak this into existence. I'm hoping RC is thinking the opposite, and he is somehow thinking the death of Sabrina's baby is his masterpiece--his version of BJ's death (even though it's not). I cannot bear another farfetched RC plot. I can't. I can't!!!

I saw on Twitter that RC was "crying" over those scenes. Um, I felt nothing, actually.

Golly gee, I was SO shocked at that ending rolleyes.gif

I'm at work and I called the ending 20 minutes in. These plots just aint working!

Exactly. It's all just "shocking" plot twist after "shocking" plot twist.

Nina's also already been on several days too many. It's always overkill and then nothing for weeks. Let's hope we reach the 'nothing' sooner than later.

Re: Cartini.

My problems with them are as follows:

1. Carliavati will never ever admit that something he has created isn't working. And the show suffers for his ego. There was a quote somewhere from an interview I read with (the great?) Claire Labine where she said something about being able to admit when something isn't working and making changes. Carliavati can't do that. His twitter reads like a bitter 13 year old fanfic writer.

2. Stories drop and pick up all the time and it's hard to get invested, because the show seems incapable of juggling all the balls they've thrown into the air.

3. The show doesn't get that the audience might not give two figs about the soap stars they are importing from other soaps. Better to write outwards from pre-existing characters, because that's where the audience's attachment comes from.

Re: Stafford: I always give Michelle Stafford major credit for turning the character of Phyllis around. I have been watching Y&R since I was born. I inherited it from my grandmother, and when I was just a wee little thing, I loved Danny and Cricket like they were soap opera Christmas, and thus hated Phyllis at first because she killed Santa. But she always gave great performances, and I loved what she had to say outside the show about her character and her costars, and think she deserves all the credit in the world for what she brought to Phyllis.

Still, Nina is more hammy than Easter dinner, and MS is part of that. The writing and directing also need a kick in the head, but MS doesn't get a pass for her performance just because she was great as Phyllis.

I think the plot twists would work better if they came within the context of an actual plot. The show is all twists and no plot. So it's just stuff that randomly happens and has little significance before or after.

Like AJ's death. Is that going to have a big impact on Sonny? Probably not. AJ's ghost has stopped visiting, and they're just using it as a blackmail plotpoint for Ava. It will drop eventually and cause 5 seconds of grief from Michael but that's the best we can expect from it. And it could be ages from now when no one will care anyway.

I remember Claire admitting to a few things she did wrong

Not taking a break at RH before being fired in 82. She as burnt out

Not handling her OLTL & GL stints better

RC will never admit hes wrong. He will just blame the audience or actors (SK) if they criticize his greatness

Who is on on Ric's "death" other than Anna?

Right now Id guess Just Anna, Ric & Nathan/James

Please do not show shirtless Levi again.
