There was a blind item in SOD about one show considering big-name comebacks.

I sure hope it's Days. Too many new characters. We need established vets back on this show to offset who's leaving.

I know everyone keeps saying we NEED the veterans, and while that's true, I want them to be well written for and their returns to mean something, not just because they 'should' be on the canvas. I look at so many returns in the last decade and they were all just handled so badly. The audience has to care they are there and they are back. Just my little rant.

And I'd rather have Sheryl than Jordan, Ben or this Ozarks "boy". Lord this looks like it will be painful. I know Robert Scott Wilson is a step up from Gaston (who was just dreadful this week, sorry but he was!) but lol at people going on about how he will have charisma and charm. Um, no. He's hot and pretty and can flash a nice smile, but I don't see Ben suddenly being interesting under him. I hope he is but Ben is already a total waste.

I will third the rant (even though it was my own rant... lol) to say that GOOD writing has to come with any comebacks. Let's face it, a return of a beloved vet handled by this writing team won't work.

I still have nightmares over Carly and Vivian's completely botched and ruined returns.

I did enjoy Kristen's return but Eileen Davidson is just magnificent.

This was the casting call for the character

Clyde is a short term contract role. Looking for a "Winter's Bone meets Duck Dynasty" type - a Kris Kristofferson...Nick Nolte Type. He's a serious man from the Ozarks who can charm almost anyone, particularly those who have no idea how lethal he can be. People who know him are scared of him. He is a man who may be without a conscience and who doesn't care about others and his affect on them. He takes what he wants. When cleaned up, he is very handsome.

Well personally I was so worried with RSW when he was cast as Pete On PP's AMC given that the previous Pete was Nerdy and thought, great Pete is gonna be a himbo

But I truly believe he has great charisma and got better as the season went & I feel if they develop Ben at Days then RSW will be great in the role.

So basically Ben and Jordan are the new Austin and Billie (HARDLY, though) with likely a controlling father or father figure who's a nasty piece of work. Yawn. Been there done that. I of course could be wrong but that's how I'm taking that.

It might've been a more intriguing set-up, though, if they hadn't botched their introductions with weak casting and thin writing.

Jordan was an interesting character for the first two months she was on the show... back when I was actually interested in what her "mysterious identities" were all about. Now that I absolutely don't care, I totally agree they need to stop brining in all the new characters to prop a backstory that was pretty much DOA. CS is a good actress - if they would write some story for her I might be more interested - but not with the crap we've been getting.

Yup. Jordan has been on the show for like 9 months now and we still know NOTHING about her. Kate found those IDs months and months ago and we still have no idea what any of it is about. This story has dragged on way too long. They brought on Sheryl and we still didn't find anything out. Ben's been here for like 3 months and still nothing. This story is so awful.

According to CS, the story was changed along the way.

CS is a good actress.

Not really.

If she could stop smirking during serious scenes there would be some hope. Joie Lenz or whatever her name is this year was guilty of that during her GL years.
