Kelly Sullivan as in Connie/Kate from General Hospital? If so, hell no. She is nowhere near the caliber of actresses as either Watros or McClain.

Does anyone think Kelly Sullivan would have been a good Kelly?

They simply should have written off the character when CW left. There is no reason for her to stay other than the fireworks when Phyllis finally wakes up, but they could have done that with an entirely new character.

I'll give Cady a chance she's a good actress she so far such a departure from Cynthia. Maybe she will be great.

IMO, CM might have been much more believable (and more easily accepted) as a new character, one that had a strong (but not necessarily familial) tie to another, long-standing character whom the fans generally enjoy. As it is, though, even if her interpretation of Kelly had dovetailed nicely with CW's, she still would have had difficulties filling those shoes. For many, CW simply left too strong of an impression.

"leave those alone, their mine." Wow, AH hit a new low in pathetic, lazy delivery. Scene where Victor is grabbing the prenatal pills. Not even a rise in voice or protestation. It was more of a laying down and surrendering. How can EB stand to work with her? I don't get it - he expects so much from his scene partners, but she gets a pass.

I agree with those who think that Kelly should've been written off with CW's departure. As it is, CM functions as if she is a totally different character, so it wouldn't have been that difficult to write her as a totally new character. Y&R probably feared a 'newbie backlash' but they should've risked it anyway. It's not like Kelly was a long established character with years on the GC canvass. Y&R's dismissals and killing off of other characters and actors shows they don't much care what the public thinks anyway...so why not do it in a way that services an actual storyline?

Seeing how Mariah interacts with Sharon and seeing how Neil's relationship with Hillary will eventually implode (sabotage by Lily?) are the only interesting aspects of this show right now. The rest?

Ian aimlessly wandering Crimson Lights looking like a goof.

The incessantly repetitive nature of Victoria being involved in another WTD storyline. And Chelsea's perplexing involvement in it all.

Avery's non story concerning her web show.

All these other storylines I'm indifferent to.

I know this makes me sound like I'm griping (and I am, TBH) but this reminds me of the last years of ATWT when viewers were deluged with lots of irrelevancy-- lots of irrelevant characters involved in even less relevant stories.

To me, CW's take on Kelly reminded me of the type of intense, psychological character that Bill Bell used to write back in the day. Her Kelly would have fit in perfectly in the old school Y & R, while Cady's take on Kelly seems to fit in more with the more modern approach of Y & R. I don't see anything gritty, raw, or intense with her Kelly, and I don't think Cady fits in at Y & R.

Right on point. As far as I'm concerned Cady is playing Rosanna in GC. The character is worthless. After reading that DT said he was fired because he looked too young next to NuKelly, I'm just blown away that a superfluous character like Kelly, who was recast AFTER DT was re-hired, could result in an actor with significant history being canned.

DT, like the rest of us, know that was a crock. DT didn't fit with AH. YR had already moved Billy away from Kelly. Firing someone with Billy ' s history and family because he lacks chem with the resident corpse is insane! The character is bigger than an expired couple!

They need her. I think this will continue to percolate and expand. I'm sorry more people aren't enjoying Cady's Kelly.

Someone posted about GT possibly not having any chemistry with JM because he is still playing a frat boy and only has/had chemistry with SC. I can't find that post. But I disagree. I think GT is going to be all over him if she remembers what Sharon did. GT is very good at being agressive and seductive and in your face with men. I think she will look a lot less harsh with him than MS did at times. I guess we shall see. And then I think she will turn her attention to Jack and CM's version of Kelly. Maybe she will be doing a little of both, but, MS' Phyllis definitely loved Nick more than Jack.

What did you all think about the way that the music box story ended? It left me wondering exactly how much that necklace was really worth? Was it a fortune big enough to sustain Jill throughout the rest of her life?

So the music box storyline ended when Jill found the heirlooms in the chandelier? That is the music box story about priceless a treasure. Something else for Colin Jill to bicker about...why is he such a gold digger.

I'm also confused about Stitch, I thought he came on as a military buddy of Dylan' yet he has no background so his identity was wiped out or something? I'm wondering when, before or after his military stint...could it be witness protection or is he running away from something?

I didn't think Abby/Tyler was going to make it down the aisle anyway so I'm not surprised he was being so dumb about Mariah. I'm actually with Abby on this one too. If my fiancé rushed off to help his ex in the way he did, after all she did to sabotage us..I don't think I'd be cool with that.
