I think we're getting ahead of ourselves. I really HOPE they bring back folks for the 50th, and I'd ASSUME they will (considering under this regime we've seen Carrie visit (via phone call I believe), Jessica, Laura, Nancy, Kim, Shane, etc.) so I'd hope they continue to bring back people for short visits and story arcs but I'm certainly not getting my hopes up, honestly, lol.

I think they missed the boat in 2010 after the memorial to re-invest in the Hortons. Not saying they aren't decently focused on now, but Mike hasn't been an active character in 15 years (his return counts, of course, but you know what I mean). Marie hasn't been an active character and stopped making guest appearances once Reilly left (she last appeared in 1996 and then not again until 2010). They wasted Nathan and the I know the actor apparently wasn't the most popular but I thought Mark Hapka was fine in the role. They also missed the boat with Jeremy Horton. Not to mention the darling of the Hortons is now mostly despised (Jennifer) and her mother was only brought back to prop Daniel Jonas (when her rival Kristen was tormeting her friend Marlena's family).

The best shot they had was the warm reception John Martin received as Bill, which was then totally wasted as he hasn't returned in four years. I mention these because they were under Tomlin (and Higley) as EP and now Tomlin is HW. I just don't get it.

I trust this regime to bring back people (maybe not write them great), but at the same time, I'm refusing to get my hopes up only to be disappointed. JMO. Not saying returns won't happen, they should and probably will ...

And let's not even get started on the wasted younger characters. Belle, Shawn, Stephanie, Chelsea (who frankly shouldn't exist as Bo and Billie's dead baby despite my like for Rachel Melvin), Phillip, Jeremy and then those that have yet to ever be cast like Andrew Donovan, Alexander Kiriakis ... so many missed opportunities. I was encouraged that they bothered to cast an actor as Nicholas for Carly's exit. So like I said, I have hope but at the same time, I'm just not sure.

I think so much can be done with the history and characters and it's all being ignored for the same old same old. Not that I'm against new characters, I like Aiden, Jordan HAD potential (and still does but seriously ...), Sheryl had potential ...

I don't know. I'm rambling. I'd want to see as many people return as possible, of course.

And you're fooling yourself if you think Susan Flannery would ever play Laura again. It's going to be Bauer everytime, IMO. I'd love Flannery but let's be real. MAYBE for the 50th, just because she would want to honor the show, but seriously ... lol

I want Wayne back at all costs. Josh can play Chris for the anniversary. It's not like DAYS wouldn't give a wink and a nod to their audience like this.

And Tomlin was stupid stupid stupid for killing off Tony DiMera and writing out Thaao Penghlis. If DAYS lives for another decade or so they really need someone other than EJ (lol) and even Kristen to fill that void.

date: Tuesday, May 27 | Christopher Dunn, Lynn Martin | Steven Williford I feel bad for Chelsea; she's exploring her feelings, and they're getting [unintentionally] hurt. But I love the support that Katherine has for her cousin. Bradley, you deserve one hundred times better than Deadbeat. So much more. Anita essentially tossing Tracy out... whew. She's done. DONE. Ouch... Chelsea hit the nerve with Katherine. How interesting... I feel like Tracy is becoming the mirror Anita has been avoiding while being a Dupree. What are these top secret things she's harbouring? I really hope Jessica's interest in Tyrell is genuine, because if it isn't, it might just destroy him. Back alley meetings? Your family? As if Bradley is not part of your family... Deadbeat, sit your ass down. Hey, Childbride, lower your damn voice. You're in the country club, not the country field where your ass belongs. And oh God, she's knocked up. Whew... here we go! Dante Greene, what control did this man have? But I appreciate that Anita and Tracy are uniting together; I pray that Sharon joins them soon. I love how easy Katherine and Tomas are with each other; it's smooth, it's natural and it's blooming in all the right ways. Hayley is about to battle the Dupree women for all she's worth. I am calling it right now. The unwavering support Vernon continues to provide to Anita is paramount; I adore them as the couple they are. Notes: Mike Manning (Bradley) continues to show up time and time again in scenes with Brandon Claybon (Deadbeat), who brings nothing to the table. There is an extreme lack of romantic chemistry between them. I'm wondering how different Dante Greene is going to be in comparison to Berry Gordy Jnr; we know the true history of Diana Ross and the Supremes, but how different will it be with Anita Williams and the Articulettes?
    • This episode is beyond excellent Could have waited on tge Trina Kai scenes  but regardless  great soap
    • Haha same! I didn't like her in the beginning, but over time, I've really grown to love to hate her as a villain.  I can't wait to listen to today's new episode later tonight! I've been waiting for the mom and dad (Crystal/Vincent) to have an interaction, so I'm happy to hear it's today.
    • I've always really been enjoying the show. It's very well produced and has so many soap stars in it. I was just listening to ep 7 on YoutTube and can say I'm hooked. There was an intense scene with Crystal Chappell and Vincent Irizarry about halfway through that was GOOD! Is it bad I kind of like Mina? I know she's supposed to be the main villian
    • This isn't a bad episode, but I'm finding myself not as engaged. Must be the lack of Eva and Leslie. No Nicole, Dani.
    • Yes!! I didn't realize it before, and had a busy weekend, so wasn't here much

Wow, what happened to AMC this week? Crashing from 8.4 to 6.6.. I mean, I know they used to go up and down much more than they do today, but this seems like a harsh drop (from 7th to 13th). And nice to see Y&R's first weeks
    • Why did they cut Chelsea coming out to her grandparents? We should have seen that
