You know it's just a matter of time before Silas announces that his middle name is John and he wants to be called by that.

Grrrr, I hate that leather jacket. It's a totem of evil. I always wanted to burn it and bury the ashes in consecrated ground.

Ah, there it is. The love that dared not speak its name. laugh.png

Why the heck would Heather drive Carly's car back to the MetroCourt especially after writing that letter about her leaving town? And what was up with that awful prop that didn't even look like blood

Kelly looked great

I don't get why Morgan felt he had to lie to his brothers about why he was with Julian. It wouldn't have been farfetched for them to buy that Morgan thought Julian went after his mother for quitting on him

The faces Franco was pulling while reading the letter were hilariously bad. And when Kaka told him she cares for him: "Thanks, that's nice." And then he started making faces again.

They are working overtime to not make Sabrina culpable at all for the paternity lie. Just make the bitch own it for God’s sake! Because she will go ahead with the lie but you just know that it will be Carlos who gets blamed for taking advantage of sweet, poor, angelic Sabrina. Okaaay.

Carly made a commendable effort to convince Heather not to kill her. And then Heather walks out with a knife smeared with ketchup LOL That looked horrible. I wonder if she just stabbed a raccoon.

The idiocy! Morgan goes to a public place to loudly tell Julian that no one knows he works for him. My God, it’s like the comedy of sh!tty errors. And when Dante and Michael interrupted them, he could have said that he was asking Julian about Carly. Nevermind that they would have heard what Morgan so loudly said (there was even an echo). Also, can the production & directing PLEASE take their heads out of their asses? Heather pulls up the car RIGHT behind Dante, Michael and Morgan, comes out of the car and sees them but we don't hear their voices and they don't notice her, and then she manages to run off how? She was right there in front of them. As soon as she stepped away from the car, they would have noticed her. Not to mention the blood on the side of the car, the keys. Come on.

You can tell McShit meant business because he put on the Jacket of Badassery. He and Nathan looked like they were going to have dirty sex on the interrogation table--THAT would be groundbreaking daytime TV! Now that the whole prescription thing has been revealed, the story makes more sense. So far I'm enjoying this much more than I care to admit. It could have been Ava that did this or some other, unknown, entity. As long as this doesn't turn into a crazy Cartini story.

    • In an interesting turn of irony, when Somerset came onto the airwaves in 1970... it ran against Dark Shadows and beat it in the ratings fairly quickly.  Then when Edge of Night moves to ABC in December 1975 and put against Somerset, the slow ratings rise that Somerset was allegedly having in late 1975 is derailed. From reading the write ups of the final year, the show dropped the May/December romance.. which viewers enjoyed and was getting the show some good press... the original cast member was sidelined due to medical issues, and the show featured pure crime stories without any balance. I think the crime focus was an attempt to compete with EON.  However, people that were into crime stories/mysteries weren't going to tune into Somerset for their fix.. not when Edge of Night was known for that.. and that show was running on a high quality wise when the network switch occurred.

    • Erwin Nicholson's last episode as SFT ep was 11/21. Whitesell started 11/22/85. Erwin was on board from March 8, 1985 so less than 9 months. Whitesell lasts six months (approximately) before P&G moved him to AW for two years where he primarily worked with DePriest. Whitesell was replaced on Search by no daytime experience David Lawrence who closed out the show's last six months.

    • I assume in name only?  One Stormy Night wasn't exactly steamy.  If it's a literal throwback then Stephanie's writing about sexy times her own Uncle was having lol. Since I am going to surmise it's just a throwback to the name, Night Sins and Winter Heat both sound sexier.  Just saying.  I swear Jamey (and Ron) just google things and land on the first thing they like and decide it's a good throwback to history without watching it.
    • I usually don't want Tide placement in the middle of an intense sad scene, but this is an interesting point

    • Thanks!   Was anyone watching during this time? Wondering how Peggy’s rape played out onscreen. It just seems cruel to subject the Brooks family to this trauma a 2nd time.   Feels like the writers have already given up on the character of Jennifer, even though she sticks around another year-plus. She should be a passionate and fierce protective mother, but instead she seems just reactionary (and not even mentioned in this recap) This was also the case in ‘73 when Chris was raped. The writers are definitely more invested Stuart as the Brooks parent.
