Perfect banner.

I can't believe how much I like Dante and Lulu. Emme and Dominic have done very well with this pregnancy story.

I see we're meeting Maxie's next love interest? He seems tolerable acting wise, I guess. I have to see more [EDIT: Nevermind. He's not]. I'm assuming he's on contract, of course.

Ugh, I can't with Sabrina/Felix anymore.

Emma marrying Robin and Patrick is cute.

It was nice to see Sam and Nikolas in scenes together. Kelly Monaco actually showed up for work ... until Easton's boring ass showed up on-screen. Didn't they use to have some chemistry? God, they're boring, lifeless and have zero chemistry.

LOL at the picture.

I'm irritated we're going to have to sit through 'poor suffering heroine Sabrina' who's 'doing the right thing' in hiding her pregnancy.

UGH.

And triple UGH to Silas and Sam's love scene. He looks way way way way too old for her. And again they have zero chemistry. And what's their relationship even based on? He saved her son?

Its too bad that the actors aren't even given the option to have their characters with other partners bc of this desperate grab to hold onto nostalgia from a show cancelled 10 years ago that really isn't relevant today. Visually, Sam looks like she could make for at least a good looking couple with this new guy, but nothing will happen there except maybe a tease. She had chem with William DeVry but he was made into her father. She even seemed to have more spark with her cousin Nikolas than boring Silas.

I saw the "love" scene the other day (not sure how but someone got their hands on it and posted it on Twitter), and for the life of me, I see absolutely nothing between Sam and McBain. They are two of the most lifeless people I've ever seen, and the "making love" just seemed way too choreographed. I didn't buy it. On paper, the scene is fabulous hot and what Daytime should be. Execution with those 2, nada. Greg Vaughn was the only guy to get a pulse from Monaco, IMHO.

Also, ME looks like someone who prefers to bathe about once a week. I find him tremendously disgusting!

    • Erwin Nicholson's last episode as SFT ep was 11/21. Whitesell started 11/22/85. Erwin was on board from March 8, 1985 so less than 9 months. Whitesell lasts six months (approximately) before P&G moved him to AW for two years where he primarily worked with DePriest. Whitesell was replaced on Search by no daytime experience David Lawrence who closed out the show's last six months.

    • I assume in name only?  One Stormy Night wasn't exactly steamy.  If it's a literal throwback then Stephanie's writing about sexy times her own Uncle was having lol. Since I am going to surmise it's just a throwback to the name, Night Sins and Winter Heat both sound sexier.  Just saying.  I swear Jamey (and Ron) just google things and land on the first thing they like and decide it's a good throwback to history without watching it.
    • I usually don't want Tide placement in the middle of an intense sad scene, but this is an interesting point

    • Thanks!   Was anyone watching during this time? Wondering how Peggy’s rape played out onscreen. It just seems cruel to subject the Brooks family to this trauma a 2nd time.   Feels like the writers have already given up on the character of Jennifer, even though she sticks around another year-plus. She should be a passionate and fierce protective mother, but instead she seems just reactionary (and not even mentioned in this recap) This was also the case in ‘73 when Chris was raped. The writers are definitely more invested Stuart as the Brooks parent.
    • BTG got another SNL reference at 00:50  CONTEXT (so it isn't misconstrued) in this joke swap segment, Michael Che frequently makes his white cohost Colin Jost read racist jokes written by Che.

    • It's obvious that Israel's presence is a major divisive issue, and this is something that the EBU needs to deal with. According to the now published results Israel got 13 out of a possible 19 max points in the semi-final, and while their song isn't bad there's no way they would get those numbers without some kind of manipulation/political voting. They are clearly using this contest as a way of improving their somewhat tarnished reputation. I know that some people are comparing this to the massive sympathy votes that Ukraine gets and which propelled them to victory in 2022, but I feel that that was a more genuine show of support than this concerted effort from Israel to influence the televoting. I even had an ad on Youtube from Israel in Swedish(!) asking for votes! It might not be against any rules, but it feels a bit icky nonetheless.
