I have mixed feelings about this. I think Adam is needed on the canvas. As a character (regardless of who played him), he is fascinating.

All that BS about how he could work in primetime and turned a pilot down to stay on Y&R was just that--BS! If it weren't, why is he so upset by this? I.CANNOT.WAIT for the implosion of the online soap press, everyone on Twitter and of course his melodramatic exit interviews.

With Dylan on canvas, Adam is obsolete (much like Kevin now that Fen is an adult). They don't need him to play foil to Nick. They have Dylan for that.

From Twitter ponderousness, to Nellie Olsen giving him a figurative rim job for an eternity, to a general characterization I found disturbing and offensive on many, many levels, I am very happy about this.

Y&R still has no real identity or soul, and may never have one again, but at least JFP and Sony have made it their mission to purge the show of most of the biggest purveyors of big egos who do nothing to back it up.

After Stafford, Miller, and Muhney, I hope certain egos are on notice.

I'm looking at you, Josh Morrow.
