I actually thought Castillo was OK early on as nerdy and awkward. It was everything around her that I disliked. That Nurse's Ball makeover (the most gorgeous friend of a friend of a Real Housewife/extra from an Adam Ant video ever!!!) took all that naturalness away and it's never come back.

Several pages too late but The Elm Street Pier! I too miss that set!

The current docks set reminds me of the 80's one that was seedy.

No dock set saw as much bad stuff as the Days one. But the good folks of Salem kept wandering down there.

I miss Laura's house, the Webber/Scorpio house, the Brownstone, the Q gatehouse. And I have never liked The Metro Court. Carly rich and comfortable ruins the character. Even on Knots Landing, Abby was always hungry. Nothing was ever enough for her. Carly should be written like that, in the ELQ storyline.

Oh good. He can go back to the junkpile.

I have to laugh when I see people say gosh, maybe he and Julian are not actually in the mob, that they're actually "good", unlike that mean old Sonny. Just because someone wants to have sex with him, or with Julian, doesn't make them wonderful people.

All I gotta say Ron Carlivati put on lady gags just dance u are the freaking icon of daytime lol. Biggest ratings in six years. That's huge for GH. Ron and frank should get massive renewels for this. Look at the chews ratings that's huge. The chew is a hot show

My point is look at those huge ratings. GH was a cancelled done deal now in buzz and publicity it's a roaring blaze of fire. Fantastic ratings and SOD named GH the best soap. Ron Carlivayi and frank will get a huge payout and big money. GH not only isn't in danger, abc is shocked and amazed by its performance. So all the griping here won't make the fact GH is a hot one.

    • Thanks!   Was anyone watching during this time? Wondering how Peggy’s rape played out onscreen. It just seems cruel to subject the Brooks family to this trauma a 2nd time.   Feels like the writers have already given up on the character of Jennifer, even though she sticks around another year-plus. She should be a passionate and fierce protective mother, but instead she seems just reactionary (and not even mentioned in this recap) This was also the case in ‘73 when Chris was raped. The writers are definitely more invested Stuart as the Brooks parent.
    • BTG got another SNL reference at 00:50  CONTEXT (so it isn't misconstrued) in this joke swap segment, Michael Che frequently makes his white cohost Colin Jost read racist jokes written by Che.

    • It's obvious that Israel's presence is a major divisive issue, and this is something that the EBU needs to deal with. According to the now published results Israel got 13 out of a possible 19 max points in the semi-final, and while their song isn't bad there's no way they would get those numbers without some kind of manipulation/political voting. They are clearly using this contest as a way of improving their somewhat tarnished reputation. I know that some people are comparing this to the massive sympathy votes that Ukraine gets and which propelled them to victory in 2022, but I feel that that was a more genuine show of support than this concerted effort from Israel to influence the televoting. I even had an ad on Youtube from Israel in Swedish(!) asking for votes! It might not be against any rules, but it feels a bit icky nonetheless.
    • Yeah, as you wrote, an Israeli win would have been a political disaster. Congratulations to Austria. 0 points from the televoting to Switzerland was a disgrace. Other than that, I really enjoyed the show ... but I'm also glad that Eurovision season is over

    • Hahaha Sorry if I was too negative, I just started typing and typing once I got going hahaha
    • @dc11786 Thanks for taking time to answer my various questions, along with giving your thoughts on the different writing teams. I wonder why they didn't just have Ryder and TR leave together if Jane was going anyway. The discussions over the last few pages have made me more interested in watching these episodes than I have been over the years - without the extra details and analyses provided, these years can be difficult to decipher (not helped by how often Jo seems like a side character).
    • I didn't think this was very good (I've never yet seen a good episode of this revival), but you do get a lot of Michael Stroka. And if you are a Donna Reed Show fan, you also get Paul Petersen.
