More on Billy Clyde's deleted scenes from this week's SOD, including one of the MORE scenes

Billy Clyde lurks in the bushes to watch the red carpet doings. He fantasizes about walking down it and being interviewed by Opal.

Evelyn catches him and asks what he's doing. He says he wants to see Celia.

Dimitri announces that a $10,000 bid came in via phone in Celia's name. Unbeknownst to the crowd, Billy Clyde called it in.

After the auction, Celia and Pete talk about the date they will go on. Joe spies Billy Clyde in the vicinity. Billy Clyde promises to stay clear of Dixie.

These plus the Jane stuff, they better have been cut for a good reason, because it looks like lots of good stuff; hopefully season 2 won't have this problem

I'm pretty sure they cut the Billy Clyde stuff in order to create a season finale cliffhanger, but I could be wrong. We'll see if Jane's story is going anywhere this season but I doubt it.

I just hope most of the Jane stuff being cut isn't a prelude to her being snipped from Season 2 entirely.

I couldn't blame them for cleaning out detritus, but I'm genuinely intrigued by the character.

Same here. I doubt she's going anywhere, though.

Some thoughts under spoiler tag just in case

So, from another thread I picked up that Billy Clyde already had a daughter who was locked away in an institution after she went crazy. The character name was Emily Ann. She was married to Jake and killed Jake's friend Katie because she became jealous.Unless Emily Ann died in Oak Haven then Billy Clyde still has a daughter. I am thinking this may be a reason why the story has been heavily edited Celia could still be his granddaughter or daughter but they would need to rework the angle of her being his only child.

Maybe Billy Clyde doesn't consider Emily Ann his daughter at this point? I'm not sure. Either way, that line about him not having children made it into the show, right? So whether or not that's a blooper, I doubt it has anything to do with the

Celia

cuts. It's like them ignoring Jacob Foster because it's convenient.

Well, they don't completely ignore Jacob. They have made reference to Cassandra being Jesse's step daughter at least three times. But like you said another possible blooper. Like Lucy getting a job and moving to Philly at five years old.

Just found this, start at 2:52 (spoilerish/speculation related).

looks like BCT definetly felt like EAS was his daughter. She didn't consider him her father though. Well, interesting retcon they are doing (or may be doing) anyway. I am sort of hoping it comes up, but I'll just keep enjoying the mystery.

What exactly was his line about not having children? I thought, but I can't remember it, that it could be read ambiguously--I mean Emily Ann basically was not his daughter--he never got to raise her and then for all we know she's still crazy, or at least obviously has zero contact with him.

So my mom finally texted me and said that this past weeks episodes sold her finally that the show is back in all it's glory! She is a baby-boomer, married 35 years, and has watched the show on and off since it started back in 1970.

She is conflicted because she enjoys Angie and David as friends, but also wouldn't mind if they became a couple down the line.. and she was a hard-core Jesse/Angie fan in the 1980s, while saying they were the reason she came back to watching the show full time in 2008 after being driven away by the Ryan/Greenlee/Kendall/Zach show. She loves Zach with Lea, wouldn't mind Kendall back but not if she reunites with Kendall.. and prays that Greenlee never comes back to the show. Her fav moment from the 2000s era was when Greenlee rode the motorcycle off the cliff and was presumed dead.

She is warming to Celia, thinks that the writing for Colby is too uneven.. all the traits of mama Liza with very little of the human moments.. though she did like the Colby/Cassandra scenes. Is interested in the David/Cara/JR story brewing.. she thinks Cara has chemistry with both David and JR while she feels sorry for this version of JR. She said when JY was playing JR, she thought he was a conceited douche.. but she loved that LOL.. however, she thinks the current actor fits with someone coming out of a 5 yr coma.. and anxious to change and prove himself.. yet still falling back on old demons.

She loves Opal/Pete.. and thinks there is a little chemistry between Dixie/Dr. Anders... who she has a massive crush on.. especially in his party outfit LOL She likes Miranda.. thinking she has some of Erica's personality mixed with Bianca's personality.

After weeks of me convincing her to keep watching (after she was resistant to watch after finding out Erica wasn't coming back), she finally is won over.. and told me that if the next batch of episodes filmed maintain the quality of the Chandler Gala episodes.. she will be a fan for life again!

IDK the exact line, I just thought it might be interesting if Celia was actually his grand daughter It would make sense as to why he has been her gaurdian. I never really bought that her parents just "died." I am thinking (or hoping) it's more like Emily Ann got out of the crazy house, had a baby, went crazy again and killed the father (the bloody scene Celia keeps flashing back to), resulting in Celia being a sort of orphan. Billy was the only living next of kin that wasn't in jail or something like that.

Yeah, I thought about that a little too long, had a crappy week and needed a distraction.

Alone with the fact that she was hidden as revenge against those that kept him away from her mother.
