I'm guessing that we are supposed to believe that Jesse and Cassandra bonded over the 5 year gap. It's possible the writers did forget about Jacob, but so far, it seems as if they are pretty tight with the continuity and past history.

Yeah, they have been good with history in other instances (I was surprised that Joe mentioned Ray taking Tad and Brooke losing Laura without them throwing neon signs at it screaming "LOOK HISTORY! WE'RE REFERENCING HISTORY!") so I'm not going to jump to any conclusions.

I think 2 weeks ago, Jesse was mentioned as her stepfather, so it seems they go back and forth. Perhaps we have a Todd/Victor situation with Jacob/Jesse.

Maybe Cassandra and Jesse have dual amnesia because he is not her father. I hope it's just the characters using shorthand and not the writers actually thinking they're father and daughter.

This show doesn't have the scope, vision or frankly budget to tell this ripped from Taken story. It's not gripping, it's off-putting. I wish they could drop it quickly and move onto something else for everyone involved. But no, 3 more months (I'm assuming) of the rest of this story.

I find almost every scene slow, dull and awkward. Yet I so want to love it.

They have refered at least twice to the fact he is her step-father, so I suspect this is just shorthand. They probably should have just said Jacob died off screen a while back though, because his lack of involvement is pretty glaring.

I thought Julia was back to her old self as Brooke today. I also thought today;'s episode had a great flow to it--*shrug*

Oh I hope not--even though Linda will disagree with me, Jacob/Jesse were not exactly all that different from each other--though I guess a cameo or two might be fine (but may just confuse viewers.)

As I mentioned they certainly have called him her step-father--it feels natural enough to me that in this amped up situation they don't make the effort to always say "Step father" etc.

They are ex-stepbrothers. In the early 00s, Petey's father Palmer was married to Vanessa Bennett, David's mother. It was during the time Josh Duhamel was on as Leo and a child actor was playing Petey. Interesting the writer chose to emphasize that beat- I was surprised.

Oh my god i LOVED the redheaded kid. I think there might have been some overlap with him- I remember him being on early in Alicia Minshew's tenure, which would have been roughly the same time as the end of Vanessa/Leo. But I think he was also around for awhile after Vanessa went over the falls.

Yeah he was there for the start of Fusion, etc.

Kendall babysat for the red headed Petey. There was a scene that he was trying to exhort money from her while she remarked that he certainly was like his father LOL I believe she had been back for a few months at that time.

On my Hulu stream I saw a Chase commercial with Lamon Archey (Mason/Y&R). Or at least I think it was him.

Did anyone else see it?
