April 13, 201312 yr Member She might have suffered a relapse in her recovery from pneumonia (it was pneumonia, wasn't it?). At her advanced age, recovery from any kind of infection can be tricky. This is why I was also very concerned about Robin Strasser returning to work so soon against medical advice - OLTL had rearranged their schedule for her, but she still came back too early. Pneumonia clogged one of my lungs a couple years ago and put me in bad, bad shape and I wasn't yet 30. Both Robin and Ms. Cooper have been dealing with that recently.

April 13, 201312 yr Member It's funny when great-aunt-who? or second cousin who? gets ill I can't muster up too much emotion but hearing that Jeanne Cooper is in critical condition my stomach is in knots upon the news.
April 14, 201312 yr Member Tracey Bregman and Daniel Goddard both tweeted they are with her at the hospital and she is stable. Eric Braeden is freaking out too. This is so scary. Wow I'm just reading this thread now....so sad and very depressing. Praying she recovers.....glad that the people we see on screen are by her side in real life. Crazy at it seems I'm kinda comforted by the fact that "Victor Newman" is by her side...
April 14, 201312 yr Member Praying for Jeanne Cooper! I've never been the biggest Y&R fan but she is truly one of the upmost legends in this business. And a true lady of class. I was truly impressed when she requested to appear in the series finale of Guiding Light. A lady of class and a lady who holds respect for our genre. All my best to Ms. Cooper and her family as well as all on the set at Y&R.

Not sure what's wrong with her but DG has been at the hospital since last night. He said she's still in ICU, stable yet sedated. Thank you both. I'm very impressed by DG for holding vigil. Says a lot about him, and his relationship with Cooper. Most of the cast seems to adore her. Glad she's stable.

April 15, 201312 yr Member So sad for Jeanne hope she recovers. I've been fearful for her for awhile that something like this would happen. She's look so frail for so long. And I also feel bad for Jess too since it affects her work schedule as well.
April 16, 201312 yr Member Watching her scene with Jill and Murphy when she just found out she has Lyme Disease and Jill didn't want to believe it was really Katherine and not Marge....just chilling. Gets me every single time. Stay strong Mrs Chancellor....
April 18, 201312 yr Author Member Update: No news on my mom from overnight which is great news. She may be out of ICU today. Not sure who she threatened, but assume that happened!
April 18, 201312 yr Member Update: No news on my mom from overnight which is great news. She may be out of ICU today. Not sure who she threatened, but assume that happened! CB is hilarious. The bottom line is that JC has lived a wonderful life and given joy to millions of people through her work. I hope she is able to enjoy her final years in dignity and not in pain. We hate to see loved ones leaves us, but it can be far worse to watch them in agony just to keep holding on. I wish her all the best for a full recovery.
Sending positive thoughts her way. Get well soon!
