you must not have seen her on ATWT... whistling.jpg

i'm wondering why a nobody like Oliver is crossing over at all... I mean, seriously. Why? And whether or not the character was a failure, Sarah Brown remains Sarah Brown.

Zack Conroy shows up in Genoa City on May 21. JG says with Chelsea’s fashion division heating up it’s the perfect time for a crossover. Turns out that Oliver and Tyler are old friends and he agrees to help him out in a photo shoot. “Oliver will shoot the fashion spread with Summer and Mason and be quite taken with Summer’s modeling.” For now, his stint is only just for two days but he could return at a later date. “Oliver’s arrival in Genoa City is part of a planned larger crossover story involving several key players.”

I know I'm in the minority but I liked her as Julia Larrabee on ATWT. She certainly wasn't a bore like Aggie or undefined like Madison. Plus, I remember seeing Sarah Brown at Super Soap Weekend in '99 or 2000 and she said in her onstage interview, when asked what actor from another soap she'd like to work with, that she thought Maura West was PHENOMENAL and would kill to work with her someday. So for me, that added some extra pizzazz to their relationship, knowing that Sarah admired Maura's work and was bringing her "A" game in every scene she had with her. Had she been written a bit differently, I think she could have been kept around longer. After all, they kept that brat JJ til the end of the series.

    • Martin and Smitty were designed to avoid the stereotype of gay men sleeping around (which to an extent is true). If you recall Martin had a line about them not being open when Chelsea came to talk to him. The producers are walking a very fine line right now and it might not be popular to say but I can understand it. Establishing enough footing to ward off complaints will let them showcase gay characters more openly later.
    • The week was decent. They have started to rotate their stories and finally got a rhythm going. I disagree about them allowing every character to have a moment to shine though. Nicole really hasn't been given anything to do. I completely agree with all this. I adore Doug and hope he makes it through.

    • There was the one appearance in '96, but otherwise, that's correct as far as I know.
    •   It's working fine now.

Question for the B&B group: I see @rsclassicfanforever has uploaded multiple seasons from Videoland  (in the folders that are to be put away). They are huge folders and difficult to download so I started breaking them down into months but I realized they are by season so for example, Season 4 spans from March 1990 to March 1991. Now I'm wondering where to actually place them, since we have the Full Episodes section divided by year, not seasons. And most of these seasons we already have in full, so these are duplicates. Not sure if it's necessary to keep the older versions. I could just make another new section for Seasons, so the main folders would be "Behind the Scenes and Interviews," "Clips," "Full Episodes," "Full Seasons," "Music CDs," and "photo archive Marquise" but I'm not sure that really makes sense. Also wondering since we have almost every full episode now if "Clips" can be deleted in its entirety, as it's nearly 300GB.
    • CBS moving Murder, She Wrote from Sunday to Thursday was straight up sabotage. Les Moonves knew exactly what he was doing.
    • I sure hope you’re right. The lack of sets is maddening!
    • I'm hoping that the new studio might have more space, meaning extra sets could be permanently erected. Perhaps the current  set issues are due to limited space available at Television City as it shuts down for the redevelopment. But if more space means spending more $$$ we might be stuck with the current situation no matter where they move.
