Nope. In fact, I'd have preferred Laura Harrier's first scenes as Destiny to have been with Shaun instead of at The Viper Room Shelter.

Ha, fair enough about your use of the squish names--at least now I always know who you're referring to them when you use them. :;)

You may have a point about Jeff and Rich but I think they have shown that they're willing to, as quickly as possible, change things (unfortunately now this will take a while to play out on screen) and I suspect by now people have realized that AMC needs more story for characters like Brooke. So I still have faith--though I know as it stands, I'm enjoying the show more than you, I'd love to see much more of my beloved Brooke in particular.

LK helped compile all the archival stuff for the 1995 All My Children coffee table book--according to Agnes and the book's credits, so she seems to have a strong knowledge of the show actually--I mentioned that H COrley told me how good a choice he thought she would be (and he wrote some amazing AMC stuff under Broderick in particular). Hayes writes not great scripts--and has an association with Melrose Place which is the wrong direction for AMC (as Pratt's tenure showed--Pratt being probably Melrose's longest running writer) but I think he has shown that he has some good story ideas and I believe that may turn out to be his strength.

I wrote an e-mail to Jeff Kwantinetz from PP a few days ago to ask him if it will ever be explained on the show how Cutter got out of prison, and he responded back to me today saying he'll bring it up, and it's been over a year though, and he also thanked me for my input and his support!

I think that's fantastic that he was receptive and replied to your e-mail! You gotta hand it to technology, for, as much as I love letters, snail mail couldn't have gotten the job done in this instance.

Now that you've got an open line, you should suggest they use the theme song version posted on the TOLN site. Tell him we've taken a poll, and everybody seems to prefer the 'lush' (in the words of Cheap) version posted on the TOLN site. I know that it a longer version but if they could include the intro, even occasionally, that's be great.biggrin.png

WHY DO YOU CARE SO GOD DAMN MUCH ABOUT A PLOT POINT NO ONE EVEN THINKS ABOUT?!?

It's seriously puzzling, maddening, confusing...gah.. I've never used ignore but this influx of just...annoying...as of late is changing that.

Because it doesn't make sense to me why the online version of OLTL would begin with Cutter back in Llanview working as a manager and club promoter at Blair's new nightclub without explaining how Alex Olanov (or someone else) got him out of prison, and how returned to town and got hired by Blair to work at her club!

    • I suppose I am glad Lulu and Cody are trying to figure this out in a fact-based manner, but wouldn't save everyone a lot of time if they just stole Gio's hairbrush and compared it against Rocco's DNA?  Lol.

I guess I have to reluctantly rewatch
    • That works for me. And/or Dani could be in with a fast crowd and got involved with something shady and Bill came to the rescue.
    • I think judging from synoses of other shows, that the summaries are roughly in the order they played throughout the year. So Kubeck returned to a more crime theme. Maybe now that EON was competition they wanted that audience? Re Jameson Parker, the story goes that he was not pleased that TPTB wanted to tread lightly with the Dale/Ellen romance and he was taken to task over some improvs he added re touching Ellen in ways considered too 'racey'.So when his contract was up he quickly moved to OLTL as Brad.
    • I don’t think it was intentional. Because if it was, I imagine it would’ve been mentioned in one of those ‘Welcome to the Neighborhood’ specials that aired.
    • I mean, soaps are a world were 5'2" Eva Longoria can be a runway model...
    • I wonder if Michelle Val Jean even considered this. It seems so obvious to many of us.  If they want the Dupree name to continue, Anita and Vernon need at least one male heir.  Two would be even better.  Do you think Val Jean may have written it this way intentionally for some reason?
    • Agreed Anita and Vernon definitely needed a son or two.  The Duprees are the core family, yet the name practically doesn’t even exist anymore.  Some slot machines would be nice

    • I would have it come out that Dani was pregnant with Naomi while her career was still on the rise, and the idea of a Dupree having a baby out of wedlock would be scandalous, and Bill, who was starting out in his career, received pressure from Vernon/Anita to do the "honorable thing" and marry her and in exchange Vernon promised to help his new son-in-law out with his legal career.
