I am also looking in the Ratings Archive. The facts speak for themselves. Week to week variations even out The "Season to Date" ratings show Passions same in the Women 18-49 demos as ATWT and GL.

For the SEASON September 18, 2006 through September 2, 2007

HH

1. Y&R 4.2

2. B&B 3.0

3. GH 2.7

4. AMC 2.5

5. OLTL 2.4

6. ATWT 2.3

6. DAYS 2.3

8. GL 2.1

9. PSNS 1.5

Women 18-49 Rating

1. Y&R 2.0

2. GH 1.9

3. DAYS 1.6

3. OLTL 1.6

5. AMC 1.5

6. B&B 1.3

7. PSNS 1.2

7. ATWT 1.2

7. GL 1.2

Okay, I said it was quite often ahead of ATWT and GL in 18-49. Is that not supported by what you've posted? I never said anything about season ratings, but that only backs up the fact that it was very often higher than or on par with the P&G soaps.

No they didn't get screwed, NBC pushed them and got rid of Another World and Sunset Beach for them.

Yeah they got rid of Another World and gave us that crap, seriously, they didn't get screwed

LOL! Yall should have just said that in the first place.

AllMyShadows, originally you wrote, "It rated higher than the P&G soaps in 18-49." You didn't use the qualifier "often" until I disagreed with that, in your second post where you mentioned looking at the Ratings Archive.

Getting back on topic to AMC, your suggestion of Jeff Martin could be a good idea for Newman if people want him involved with Susan Lucci! Not a new character. Obviously I wasn't watching in the 70s but maybe it would work.

I originally meant on a week-to-week basis, so I wasn't clear. It's all good though :)

I think RN as Jeff could work, depending on how much they would want to acknowledge Josh. Given that he was murdered by that goon, it would be easy for them to just pretend like he never existed.

He could always play an actor/crew member Erica fell for in Hollywood.

In a perfect world, GL would be resurrected so he could be on THAT. I'm not opposed to him being on any current soap though. He was always a favorite actor of mine.

"Franz," Cady? Really?

In all seriousness, though, what a lovely and encouraging article. Seems like a dream, really. I do hope the OLTL actors will get involved at this level next week and onward, though to my recollection not many of them have regular blog-like output in the way that Cady or Jill Larson do (save KDP). They do have Twitter, though, as does Debbi Morgan, and she's been using hers.

Really great blog by Cady McClain, despite the odd misspellings. You would think she could spell Cortlandt by now? A bit of a spoiler about Celia. Appreicated her introducting us to her interactions with each of the new actors.

I notice that Cady and the other actors keep talking about the brilliance of Agnes and nobody mentions the actual headwriters of the show lol. With OLTL you have Erika Slezak mentioning the HW and others I'm sure. I wonder what that is about.

Although we know who the head writers are for AMC, Prospect Park hasn't actually listed them in a press release yet. Don't know why.

You noticed that too lol. I hope McPherson isn't going to suck that much

Well, that dramatic exit didn't last long.

Anyway.....

FRANZ!

That was probably just shade.

I'm gonna always refer to him as 'Brian Franz' from now on.

Thanks, Cady.
