Also no one here believes PP are GOD like. I believe the doomsday theories are getting old. Why spend money on the updated TOLN.com and the new App for The Iphones and smart phones if they just plan to abandon the shows. Yes we may not get 250 episodes a year, however IMHO that model is old, tired and costs too much money. All the daily soaps need to examine new models of production.

Yay for you. You're related to lawyers. I'm related to scientists and teachers, and I know that legal knowledge isn't genetic. FWIW, I also work in the legal field, and you're not some special snowflake because know a little bit about contracts.

You are more than welcome to choose to proceed with caution. The problem the rest of us have is that you seem to think your own personal opinion 1. applies to everyone else or 2. is akin to inside information from PP. Please kindly stop acting like your opinion dictates how the rest of us should respond to the production of this show.

Linda, may I just offer one small bit of advice. You may want to start using multiple different usernames. Then you can start replying to yourself and continue these nonsensical arguments even in the absense of an audience. Seriously, the more you post the more I am convinced that you are not even a woman. I have no idea what kind of person derives their life's pleasure from trolling internet forums. But, as long as that is your everyday ambition you might as well go ham and just start talking to yourself using different names.

Not a troll. Just a truth teller. I am a woman. College educated too. Getting ready to receive my 30 year service award and pin with the Department of Defense Army branch taking care of soldiers and families on Sept.9 coming up. Come out to see me get my 30 yr. Award and service pin.

There are people who say that anyone posting on any message boards are kinda trollish.

Truth? You just make shyte up randomly and lable it truth. I never questioned your education as it is readily apparent you are incapable of even the most basic level of logical reasoning. What truth have you been telling amidst all the rest of us liars? You don't think that maybe if more than one person is accusing you of being crazy, there might be some amount of truth to the claim.

Wait, anyone who posts on the internet is a troll? People say this? are these people you invented in your mind? Just like "fans" you invent who are upset about the misrepresentation of the black man as portrayed by Darnell William's Jesse Hubbard? Is it really too much that you have the courage to own your own opinions without dragging other made up people into it as a means of making yourself sound less like a lone tin-hatter.

    • It's been brought up that Empty Nest was a time slot hit. Here's Empty Nest schedule and seasonal rating in comparison to The Golden Girls. 1988/89: The Golden Girls Saturday 9 pm, 6th. Empty Nest Saturday 9:30 pm, 9th. 1989/90: The Golden Girls Saturday 9 pm, 6th. Empty Nest Saturday 9:30 pm, 9th. 1990/91: The Golden Girls Saturday 9 pm, 10th. Empty Nest Saturday 9:30 pm, 7th. 1991/92: The Golden Girls Saturday 8 pm, 30th (final season). Empty Nest Saturday 9 pm, 22nd.  1992/93: Saturday 9 pm, below the Top 30. 1993/94: Saturday 9 pm, below the Top 30. 1994/95: Saturday 8:30 pm then 8 pm, below the Top 30, and cancelled. Empty Nest 7 season run equaled the parent show The Golden Girls.
    • In an interesting turn of irony, when Somerset came onto the airwaves in 1970... it ran against Dark Shadows and beat it in the ratings fairly quickly.  Then when Edge of Night moves to ABC in December 1975 and put against Somerset, the slow ratings rise that Somerset was allegedly having in late 1975 is derailed. From reading the write ups of the final year, the show dropped the May/December romance.. which viewers enjoyed and was getting the show some good press... the original cast member was sidelined due to medical issues, and the show featured pure crime stories without any balance. I think the crime focus was an attempt to compete with EON.  However, people that were into crime stories/mysteries weren't going to tune into Somerset for their fix.. not when Edge of Night was known for that.. and that show was running on a high quality wise when the network switch occurred.

    • Erwin Nicholson's last episode as SFT ep was 11/21. Whitesell started 11/22/85. Erwin was on board from March 8, 1985 so less than 9 months. Whitesell lasts six months (approximately) before P&G moved him to AW for two years where he primarily worked with DePriest. Whitesell was replaced on Search by no daytime experience David Lawrence who closed out the show's last six months.

    • I assume in name only?  One Stormy Night wasn't exactly steamy.  If it's a literal throwback then Stephanie's writing about sexy times her own Uncle was having lol. Since I am going to surmise it's just a throwback to the name, Night Sins and Winter Heat both sound sexier.  Just saying.  I swear Jamey (and Ron) just google things and land on the first thing they like and decide it's a good throwback to history without watching it.
    • I usually don't want Tide placement in the middle of an intense sad scene, but this is an interesting point
