HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

I always liked him. Except during that Laura crap.

I liked him, just didn't care about the Greenleo stuff. But I'm glad he came back for the scenes at the end and he and Budig worked well together in their last episode.

BTW, I don't do torture (response to a page or two back). I'm not into kinky things. Um...not the place to talk about this stuff. Then again, the size of one's... is better suited in a something blog (indescribable) that shall not be named.

This is the most concern I have ever seen for Trent Garrett.

Awe, I loved Garrett and was happy to see him on last season of Make it or Break it.

Asher/JR were amazing.

Cue Vee's snark response about my taste...

Not surprising, seeing as the DID story was no longer running by 1996.

If you want to trash Todd's story in 94-95, go ahead, there's certainly things to ceaselessly debate (with someone else, since that debate has been tired for thirteen years) but I don't think you'll find too many takers on that in the general audience. To most of the audience, particularly offline, those were all just part of the glory days.

Actually, Viki was still in therapy in early 1996. Malone had further plans for Viki's DID therapy but those plans were summarily dropped. Seeing as Erika Slezak herself complained about the lack of follow through that year, I'm hardly alone in my complaints.

As for Todd, read my post again I specifically lauded his 93-94 story. Those two years held a gritty realism that attracted mainstream praise and anticipation of the realistic rehab story originally promised in fall of 94. A victim all cozy with her gang rapist and the gang rapist overnight rewarded with riches received a great deal of criticism, including from RH who walked out over the bad writing. It's always been a controversial writing period for Todd even Malone acknowledged that.

Back to my original point if PP really seeks cutting edge, modernized OLTL, Gottlieb was a better choice, IMO. I'll just be happy if Horgan abandons RC's silly camping of OLTL's last years and takes topics seriously again.

I think it's because we want to see that booty again.... but Colby's eyes are on somethin' else.

I got to say Miranda and Pete would look good together. Meh. She's a Kane, she'll eventually hit that.

I gave up on AMC years ago, however, I'm going to check out Eden's return. Binks and Angie were two characters that never failed to draw me into their stories.

Of course we'd all have liked Linda Gottlieb. But Susan Bedsow Horgan has a solid track record, a lot of good work under her belt on both OLTL and CBS soaps, and her tenure at OLTL is largely remembered fondly by a lot of people. She's the next best thing AFAIC.

And it's Erika Slezak.

Colby seems to have been played by Barbara Jean from Reba's old sitcom.
