I don't mean to make it sound like that's why people were bored by Becca - that was the writing. I just remember a lot of eye-rolling at the time because that was probably the peak of Kathie Lee's unpopularity with the public. But again that's indicative of the writing, because I remember this, but barely remember Becca herself (aside from her head kerchiefs).

As for the rest, I don't think that it's a bad thing AMC is hiring a model, but what bothers me a little is if they're hiring this guy just because he was a model on TPIR. I hope it's based on some kind of talent in acting or charisma. Otherwise they should have just dug up Lucky Vanous.

I wouldn't have much of an issue with this person being cast or trained if the previous younger cast hadn't been wiped clean in a conscious choice. I'm not against training people. I'm against wiping a cast under 30 out to train people. Effectively, it appears Stephanie Gatschet, and Trent Garrett if he also wasn't approached, were fired (that's the word for it) and they were deemed not good enough for the new show, and the show brought in a bunch of other young people for their vision of what the younger cast should be.

But like I said, I will give him a chance, and yes, please if anyone can find clips of his other work, that'd be great!
