He doesn't sound disenchanted to me. He sounds well-balanced. He sounds like he's satisfied where he is and not in any mood to really jump back into an environment that may or may not be reminiscent of ABC Daytime. He's positive about where it may go but he's not naive. He's sitting back and feeling it out.

Hmmm Scotty, I guess they are trying to lure people in with implications of unlikely possible appearances (Leo?), LOL.

I want to say something about Dixie -- I don't see how she is anywhere close to an "earth mother" type. I feel like she is hypocritical, flawed, and doesn't always acknowledge her flaws. It would make more sense to me if she was having some doubts about herself and going through a midlife rediscovery (I don't want to call if a "midlife crisis") and period of reinvention of herself, than if she was an "earth mother." I also wouldn't mind seeing her embracing her flaws and being all "take it or leave it" about it.

But she is not a salt of the earth, moral grounding, nurturing, or wise woman type at all in my opinion. The character in the cast who could play that role is probably Angie.

You guys are the reason I kept coming back here during the past year when I wasn't watching any soaps.

It sounds like she wants to be the next Joyce Becker. I wouldn't trust her opinion on these things when she can't even spell recurring.

That's what it sounds like to me, too. He's not ready to join just yet due to the bad experiences he had in the past but he's willing to keep the door open. I hope he does eventually return!

I can't say that I blame MEK for not wanting to do. I certainly do not fault him at all for it. I'm kinda glad he's not rushing to do it because he either feels he "has to" or is "obligated". None of the actors should feel obligated to sign on. If they want to move on, that's their right and again, I don't blame him.

However, I feel like MEK just has more going on. He just doesn't sound all that happy in general, not just about AMC. But I could be over analyzing.

Tad was gone before, he can be gone again. I think we just get so used to people being there that we momentarily freak when they aren't but the show will go on.
