Members marceline
Seriously? I had no idea. In that case I see even less reason to jump on this guy. This is a new venture and it's going to take some new thinking. I admit that this *does* seem like a bit of a jump from his previous experience but a good staff can help bridge those gaps. Members NothinButAttitude
I'd hardly call WWE a soap anymore. Ten years ago, yes. And addicting as hell. Now that it's PG. . . -___-. It's going through a slump just like soaps, which is funny because it's the "man's soap."
Webmaster Errol Posted January 8, 2013 Webmaster Share Posted January 8, 2013 So what revelations are we expecting next from this ongoing story of Prospect Park and its plans for soaps on the web?
Members marceline
I expect we'll soon get a run of announcements of OLTL actor signings but I'm most curious about who the writers will end up being.
Members KMan101
I'm curious about the writers, definitely. I figure we'll hear about more signings. Have THEY officially confirmed length of the episodes yet?
Members JackPeyton
That doesnt mean it isnt still a soap. In the past few years they have had the love triangles, romances, back from the dead, redemption, heel turn, and family stories of a soap opera. Just because they arent good doesnt make it less of a soap. They did take a step away years ago but they have gone back to being soapy in the past 3+ years. Members DRW50
Didn't they stop the soap stuff because of some backlash over a story where a man had sex with a corpse (in the story, not real)?
Members JackPeyton
I dont think any one story was why, the soap opera aspect become a bore and they went rated PG and targeting the kiddie demo for awhile, but the past 3 or so years its gone back to the soaps as the audience has grown a bit older now. Members Cheap21
no. AJ Lee continues to be the main vixen of the WWE, stirring up most of the soapy elements and drama. You should YT some of her stuff

Members John
That was the sticking point last time with SAG & PP. SAG wanted the minimums to match that of Broadcast

Members Khan
I'll say this much: McDermott (I call no one "Foz") has good taste in comics. "X-Men," IIRC, was a particularly soapy comic BITD, written by Chris Claremont. (If I'm wrong, forgive me, because I'm not as big of an aficionado of this stuff as I probably should be.)
