There is no man that Brook would not pursue, no taboo, she would not consider breaking other than biology, we hope. Brooke went after Ridge when he was involved with Caroline, her best friend who was like a sister to her. She got involved with Eric even knowing that her mother was in love with him.

The Beth/Eric relationship had already been destroyed by Stephanie - Beth was never really going to be with him, she was too loyal to Stephen.

I never had a problem believing Brooke would go after Ridge, or Thorne, or Eric, but I just don't believe she would have gotten into bed with people her sisters or daughter (I'm not counting Oliver since the writing claimed she didn't know who he was, or she thought he was Ridge, or whatever) were involved with.

This is what happens when characters go to pot. There's no real conflict in Brooke/Bill. I don't know if anyone beyond about ten people care about Katie/Bill, I don't believe the Katie/Brooke (or Brooke/Donna or Katie/Donna) relationships since they brought the Logan sisters back. and people have seen "Brooke the town whore" stories non-stop. Not to mention that Mr. Shoe Polish is not likely to get a fraction of the backlash the woman gets.

It's shitty writing and it reminds me of why I stopped watching this show.

I can't remember the story now but I thought she got involved with Eric after Beth and Stephen had moved away. Beth was hurt because she still loved Eric, but she'd also chosen her husband some time before that. But if I'm wrong, so be it; I only started watching regularly after Beth was pretty much gone.

I don't agree with that. Brooke wasn't written like this until Brad Bell decided to put her together with Deacon. Before that she was all about Ridge.

That's how I remember it too. And let's not forget that Eric was the one who initiated their relationship if I'm not completely mistaken. But I guess it's easier to blame it all on Brooke....

That's what the writing always does. It's trashy, one-note storytelling, which never produces anything of value. All these shock value stories flop. The only one that worked was Deacon, because of the actors, and in the long run it destroyed Brooke's character.

I'll concede that it's not OOC for the WAY Brooke has been written over the years. However, there comes a point where the character SHOULD be written as wiser and more mature. Do we really believe this would be the story if HT wasn't taking her leave? I doubt it - not at this point. (Just three months after marrying Widge, etc.) The Deacon story worked - it was hot, dangerous and scandalous. The rest have just been ridiculous. The fact that KKL has been able to pull these stories off (Oliver) is a testament to her. I really would've preferred putting Steffy in a compromising position with Bill and Taylor finding out. THAT would've been interesting in terms of Taylor's morality, Liam fallout, etc. But, maybe, part of the plan is for Widge to serve divorce papers to Brooke to permanently free her up so that they don't have to do a recast.

She's always been all about Ridge. That never stopped her from being portrayed like a skank. She slutted her way through Thorne and Macy's relationship and that was before Deacon. She tried numerous times to break up Ridge and Taylor's marriage and that was before Deacon. The only thing that the Deacon affair changed was that the other woman was a member of her family and honestly, I think thats more to do with the fact that her sisters were written off the show in the 90s. Had they stuck around, Brooke most likely would have ended up with their men at some point.

IDA that Brad is doing worse with Brooke. If anything he's being better bc in the pat she had no shame and little remorse for the pain she caused when she went after a taken man. He's given her an out here by having Katie be the one to push Bill/Brooke together and her last two scandals was an accident (Wall Boink) and a lie (Berry Boink). She isnt portrayed as morally corrupt anymore

A lot of things are shown on B&B. "Time and time again" mostly means the last decade, which ruined every character and was full of bizarre story choices like Taylor bedding her daughter's ex-boyfriend and her enemy's father for no good story reason. It's trash writing with no fallout. I don't care if Brooke has a big party to have sex with every guy Hope, Bridget, Donna, and Katie were ever with - I'd still say it's out of character. The characters used to have some hint of standards, in their own twisted way, before Brad Bell took over completely and began to go completely downhill in the late 90s. Now they don't have any standards. The worst is that these stories never lead to anything. Ever.

The thing that bothered me the most about Brooke being a portray as a s!*+ was that she was supposed to be this college-educated, intelligent woman (Remember "Belief"?), who was reduced to stupidity like "Brooke's Bedroom" when she had her chance at FC. How ridiculous was that? A woman like Brooke who came from middle class roots, was successful AND then got into high society sure would not pass up her chance to try to be respectable, instead of ridiculed! There is a big difference between camp (Sally) and trashy/smarmy (how they chose to portray Brooke). I got the Eric storyline (father figure, Widge/Caroline), but I basically disagreed with 90% of the others. I mean Ridge, Nick & Thorne (half bros), Eric. I'm surprised they didn't have her make a play for Stephano - I mean - Massimo.
