Now they're on tv boo hooing about what they did

I might feel sorry for them if they didn't have a history of pulling nasty stunts like this

Especially when you consider the British do not have a great deal of national pride (when compared to Americans, they're much more individualistic).

I do have a large family in the UK and have traveled and spent a great deal of time there, I guess it's probably a contrived innate/psychological way for me to feel close to something there, by consuming so much of the culture from there.

My trips to London were often the highlight of my life growing up, LOL. So pathetic, I know. Still, to this day, every time I'm there, I feel at home/excited.

I'm a quarter British on my dad's side--his mother is from England. I have always been fascinated by it and want so badly to go to London in particular. You have no idea how jealous I am of you right now! :)

I hope he has his mother's looks, and his uncle's way with the people.

I'm so torn over the concept of monarchy. On one hand it's an institution filled with history and tradition, but on the other hand, the idea of a hereditary head-of-state (even if it's in name only) feels very medieval.

But, that aside, congratulations to Kate and William. smile.png

This has actually done wonders for the Royal Family's popularity too, I read an article recently that said that thanks to the hype surrounding the baby, the Royal Family has enjoyed their highest popularity with the British public in decades.

I am happy for William and Kate and their families. They seem like such a lovely couple. smile.png They seem very nice and I love the way they handle the media, including today when they left the hospital and showed off their son for the first time. They were very polite with the media, they were way nicer than other celebrities/public figures have been regarding their children. I hope that the media is respectful of them and I wish them and their family lots of happiness.
