We've seen the highs and lows of Cory Matthews and his lifelong sweetheart Topanga. But what about their daughter?

TVLine reports that the Disney Channel is currently circling the prospect of a Boy Meets World sequel series called Girl Meets World. Not only that, but insiders say the cable network is looking to cast original series stars Ben Savage (Cory) and Danielle Fishel (Topanga); their two characters were married before the popular sitcom ended in 2000. The new series would focus their pre-teen daughter.

Since the end of Boy's seventh and final season, Savage has made numerous guest appearances on other TV shows like Chuck, Bones and Without a Trace. Meanwhile, Fishel's post-Boy work includes National Lampoon's Dorm Daze and hosting duties on Style Network's The Dish.

Exactly. And maybe with a Season 2 pick up already in the bag they can now add more characters. It's not bad at all. The show's fine.

exactly even the writers said that season 1 was to introduce us to Riley's world and now for season 2 they are going to combine both her world and Cory's world

The show is a hit the way it is, if it wasn't, they'd have been begging Will & others to return to help ratings

This show isn't like the other shows on Disney Channel

This has me squeeing so hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Season 2 will have Maya/Joshua as a couple and providing lots of conflict

I really loved this episode. I'm glad i didn't see any of the previews because it was great to see everything as it unfolded. I was a little let down by Shawn's "big secret" about Riley's birth. I thought it was going to be something more dark when Cory kept saying, "trust me Shawn remembers your birthday" but the rest was very cool. Loved it...especially the parts with Shawn and Maya. I thought we would find out she was his kid.

Can't wait till next season when we see Eric. I had almost forgot about Cory's little brother. He was just a toddler when the show ended. I wonder if his sister Morgan will show up or at least be mentioned. I know she wasn't really a big part of the old show but she was Cory's sister.

It's possible Morgan might come back for season 2

The possibility of Shawn being Riley's father would be way too much for a Disney.show, but I always wondered about him and Topanga, there were times they looked good together

Josh seems like a nice mix of Eric and Cory.

Maya is sooo stealing this show from Riley. I like Riley don't get me wrong but I always sort of preferred Shawn to Cory even though I love Cory too.

The show has settled in very very nicely.

I don't know why the press are all saying Will Friedle was a "hold out". Am I missing something?

When I randomly caught an episode, I actually though Maya, not Riley, was supposed to be the lead character.

Not for nothing, but I do think Maya is the character I've seen with the most depth on this show. The show seems to be as much about Maya's journey than Riley's. The only thing is that Riley has a supporting family you see on the show.

Will said he wanted to let the show get established and do their thing and then see how it goes. He wasn't a hold out persay, he didn't want to take attention from them starting out
