Maura West is another whole decade younger than both of them. I'm sure I would have accepted West in the role (despite my love for Susan Walters) had she been 10 years older and a brunette. From what I've heard, Angelia McDaniel is much more lax and doesn't get too heavily involved in dictating storyline direction or casting. It was CBS, Sony had no vested interest in West.
